  • O/T Rotherham United Relegation Stakes

Rotherham United Chance Of Relegation or Survival Stakes 2026
    Distance - May 2026
    2 Runners
    1 Relegation Boy - Trainer L Clark
    2 Survival Sid - Trainer L Clark

Relegation Boy has suddenly jumped into contention as favourite to take this race after a slow start to the season. Relegation Boy has been plagued by injuries. But will Relegation Boy take the crown and take us down to League Two?
Survival Sid will obviously give a good account of himself but stamina is everything. Survival Sid has also been plagued by injuries.
Is the trainer a shrewd operator able to pull off a coup with Survival Sid and keep us in League One?

    What the bookmarkers say...
Betting.Con have closed their books on this two runner race stating that it's plain "stupid".
Bet-Ted don't want to know. They think it's a "farce".
Ladbonkers UK say it's too close to call and will not be offering any odds stating that "they have better things to do with their time and bigger fish to fry".
There you have it, folks. No interest from the bookmarkers and some punters unable to call the outcome of this two runner race.
If you ask me, (maybe you will and maybe you won't). By the way I'm way past caring. I've even bitten my nails down to the quick.
The one consolation I have got from the past few months is that the cold plastic seats at the NYS have worked wonders for my piles. So cooling.... But hey, that's a conversation that I'm due to have with my Doctor.
    Onwards, upwards and wherever..

I've always struggled with the side effects of coffee and paracetamol. Anything else would've dampened my stupidity. So, I've always swerved other chemicals and just said, 'No'.

The race is on. Latest news is that both runners are still ready to go. Let's hope injuries don't blight the run in. But which one will succeed?
Remember 'The Rumble In The Jungle' or 'The Thriller In Manila'?
This spectacular is going to be known as 'The Dual On Don Street', aka relegation versus survival. Which is it to be?

Hoping we're Red Rum overtaking Crisp in the final run in!

Looks like the bookmarkers were correct about this non-event. It was a poor attempt at humour anyway.
Bet Ted and Ladbonkers UK didn't even offer me odds on the Irish Grand National.

If this race had been real and had taken place it would have been a virtual shoe in for Relegation Boy.
Some of my opening words were, "Relegation Boy has suddenly jumped into contention as favourite to take this race after a slow start to the season. Relegation Boy has been plagued by injuries. But will Relegation Boy take the crown and take us down to League Two?"

In reality it's still not looking good for The Millers. That's an understatement of course. I've already stopped throwing my money away to see The Millers playing their games.
And I don't want to start a W!lly Waving contest on who's put more financial support into the club. Many supporters
have poured thousands of their hard earned into the club in one way or another.

By the way, is TS still on holiday?

Although Northampton are all but down, if (when) we lose at Wigan on Tuesday night we will be the first team officially relegated to L2. Another feather in our cap for the Centenary celebrations.
