I feel the club are moving into a new,post Tony Stewart world.
The most obvious change is Mr Stewart giving his club shares to his son,which given his age and the death of his wife and brother in recent times is completely understandable.
We have Phil Smith around the club,who seems at lot more interested than an "Adviser ".
In fact ,as direct result of Mr Smith the club has got a new London based company investing in sponsorship, hopefully this is the start of many more .
And finally for now, from next season the club will have a new kit maker in Hummel.
Is this a bright new dawn?

Well, all no coincidence. Quite where it leads is another matter. The Smith unconcerned about relegation concerns me, shows a deep lack of football sense. It is an economic view, getting out of any division is not easy. If money was, and I don’t think it likely, then it should have been put in earlier at the beginning of the season.
Something the current era was not willing to do, and I don’t think Smith has suddenly appeared, so waiting for the right moment looks likely given his quote.

A new era. Yes, likely. What that is and what will it be like I wouldn’t like to say. I’m neutral on it, anything could happen.

However, it is always easier at the start. Decline of current is far harder.

TLC, the reason for TS handing his shares over to his Son was purely financial. Had it been completed next month or beyond they would have been walloped with the new incoming Inheritance tax rules. These begin on 1st April and they would have lost millions of pounds had he not done so now.

Richard Stewart would have one day been left his Father's shares but they been fast forward to him unexpectedly.

As for a new era who knows what's around the corner. I'm keen to know what Phil Smith is really up to, and not just advising, if you know what I mean.

I don't think Phil Smith will be the next owner of Rotherham United but he knows the person who will be.

Love the optimism Tlc. We could do with more of it.

Hope this can be posted before the changes happen. Not so optimistic that will happen.

This thread is a long winded way of saying that none of us mere supporters really has a clue about what will transpire next.
The reason for that is that we are not privy to the facts and the conversations that may, or may not be, taking place
