Shouldn't Mainoo have got a challenge in earlier in the move though? Looked casual in the extreme

Hes not good enough for England.I find Japan a well coached side, when to hold deep then move with pace.

I don't think a lot of those out on the pitch are good enough. O'Reilly for instance is awful.

Foden off. Let's hope we don't see any more of that nonsense with him playing as a 9.

England are so predictable with their slow side to side passing across the front of the area.
              Very easy to defend against.
Japan's movement is much more purposeful.

Agree what the feck is a false 9,Tuchel coaching the hell out of England so predictable & slow.

Don't think you can just blame Tuchel. That's how most Premier League teams play.

I would have liked to have seen Rashford play as the main striker. I don't think Solanke is the answer.

So are you saying we have to play like that,Klopp came to Liverpool & ripped the Prem way up & blew every team away.

Rashford does not do enough he’s a world beater for 10mins then does nothing for the next 20. It’s all over 0-1 shocking.

Look at the faces and body language of the Japanese compared to our miserable sods !!

                            Complete pile of sheeeite

No I'm not saying that at all.
I'm just pointing out that most of those players are used to playing boring side to side and backwards football for their clubs so we shouldn't be surprised that's what they do at international level.
I wish they would play more aggressively but I don't think they ever will.
The only consolation for me is that team tonight is unlikely to be the one that plays in the World Cup.
