  • The ultimate nightmare

Just imagine for a moment where RUFC fail to recruit a full squad in order to submit it to the FA for this coming season. By that I mean a full squad of 16 to start a game with 5 on the bench.

In the most extreme case, could we be expelled from the League?

I asked if people were thinking we may not start the season on the "No Manager Yet" thread.
Unfortunately the longer this nonsense goes on it's more likely that this could happen.
Where the hell are Tony Stewart, Steve McClaren and Paul Douglas because one of them should be communicating with the outside world?

Get the begging buckets out again, I'll tell you now there won't be Wednesday fans chucking tenners in again now you've shown your true mini pig colours. Hope you go under.

By the way, I see Wednesday have signed Ricardo Santos. 31 years old, failed a medical at Reading and played a total of 23 minutes last season. He's crap as well. I wouldn't have him at Rotherham but good luck with that.

I can't see it, thankfully, but it is perfectly true that there are eerie similarities with a club not so far away.

I mean, an owner whose race is run yet refuses to move on being chief amongst them.

Ultimately, Owls fans were forced into deploying the nuclear option, and Millers fans may well have to do likewise to effect change.

I don’t particularly like the little runt but that’s a bit OTT.

I’ve been thinking along these lines for a few weeks now but holding off from posting about it, telling myself it’s too extreme. Rather than the parallel with Wednesday that’s been drawn though, I’ve been thinking more in line with Morecambe last season, who were suspended from their league and not allowed to start the season until they sorted themselves out. Thankfully they did, but were relegated. The more extreme example is Bury, and god forbid we go that way, but what are the EFL’s options when a team has no manager and not enough players to start a match? As I noted on the manager thread, we are now 50 days into the close season, but all we’ve had are departures of players and staff. And as for the changes Clark hinted at for avoiding soft tissue injuries every game? That’s clearly completely forgotten about so, whoever we get, it’s likely to be same again, Very very worrying.

Yes it was. I didn’t realise I was that drunk that early. Deleted it now.

One thing if we go under, the pigs can move in to the NYS because their rust riddled pig sty stadium is falling apart

Yes the situation at two clubs is never exactly the same, I agree, but the point I was making is that you have to go back to the root cause of your woes.

Stewart was great for the club when he first arrived, and to compare him to Channers would be very unfair. But the similarity between them exists in the sense that both are/were at the end of the line, yet refuse(d) to sell up.

Were Millers fans to go nuclear then I don't think he'd react in the same way as Chansiri, simply because I think he's got more between his ears. Unlike Stewart, Chansiri isn't a businessman, he's just someone who was fortunate enough to be born into a fabulously wealthy family.

In the end, Millers fans will have to make a stand because things will just spiral down and down, and the longer it continues the worse it gets.
