The Henry Nowak barbaric murder has deeply saddened the nation and the response from the government has been disgusting.We now know that the killer lied about being racially abused after stabbing Henry many times, this innocent eighteen year old student.The killer's brother rang the police to say they had been racially attacked.Police turn up and see young Henry on the ground and handcuff him while he had difficulty breathing and Henry saying he'd been stabbed.The police ,who are briefed to react to racial abuse as top priority,ask if the killer has been harmed and the lying scumbag said just a minor graze.This is a result of of our police being fully indoctrinated by Chief Constables across the country following instructions from the government.What would the response have been if Henry was ethnic?We have heard very little from this govt.who were very vocal when George Floyd was killed,with Starmer and Rayner taking the knee.This is so sick,when a white lad cries out and says" I can't breathe" in this country, NO RESPONSE !!!!!!!!!!

I can't imagine the pain of losing a child in a senseless murder and my thoughts are with family of Henry Nowak.

The horror of seeing the negligent and heavy-handed actions of the police officers who attended at that murder is equally unimaginable.

Those things happened and can never be erased.

The actions of those failing politicians, failing TV ‘news’ channels and social media users who have seized upon the killing to make political points and who are undoubtedly compounding the pain of Henry Nowak’s family are disgusting and didn’t have to happen. Do these people have no shame?

In what way is this linked to failing government? The murder rate in the UK has been falling for the past two decades or so and compares favourably with many countries. Sadly, it is unrealistic to expect it to be eliminated.

What evidence is there of Digwa’s brother lying? My understanding is that his account was that he arrived at the scene and was told by Digwa that Nowak had attacked him, which he then relayed to the police. It’s not a crime to believe what you are told. The report made by Digwa’s brother was then passed to the officers who attended the scene. Do you think the police call hander should be arrested for passing on what she was told?

I am not an unquestioning fan of the police and have had a ‘troubled’ relationship with them at times in my career. I do, however agree that police offices are often in a difficult position when they arrive at a crime scene and are met with competing accounts of what had happened there. In this case they received a report from the person who dispatched them to the scene and then a verbal account from Digwa. I am not seeking to defend what followed, because I stand by my comments above that it was negligent and heavy handed, but they did not have the advantage of the knowledge of what had actually happened that we all now enjoy.

I am blaming Digwa for killing Nowak and the attending officers for their negligent and heavy-handed actions when they attended. I am not in the game of trying to blame anyone else for selfish political reasons.

honest question, why did the killer play the race card , for myself it was a racial killing . Most MSM skirt around the reason why the police acted like they did . It?s the same reason 1600 young girls got raped in Rotherham they are frightened to be seen as racist so they?ve gone the other way and too ready to believe black /brown people. I believe it?s been reported that schools in Sheffield are teaching kids that black people carnt be racist .

In my experience people say all sort of things to try to escape the consequences of their actions.

Respectable media outlets don't report wild speculation as fact and it would be a matter of total speculation as to why the attending officers acted as they did.

In this case the murderer's brother had called the police and, as one would probably expect in that situation, they then spoke to the murder and his brother first when they arrived at the scene. They then acted on the report of a crime that they had received. That sequence of events is no different to that in the overwhelming majority of the very many criminal cases that I have been sighted on in the last 40 years or so, irrespective of the ethnicity of the parties.

The officers were negligent in not seeking to conduct anything more than a cursory check when Henry Nowak told them that he had been stabbed and I would also question the decision to handcuff him at that point, but, again, my experience is that officers often tend to handcuff without properly assessing the need to do so.
