  • MillersMad Matchthread - Cardiff v The Millers

Good morning from an overcast Rotherham. When the fixtures were out I was preying for a home game but alas the gods were not on my side.

By the by I will probably miss the match again due to heavy drinking and heavy petting with the petting needing verification from her in doors so I?ll be only having a drink!

I am going for an away point today which is normally the kiss of death!

    Enjoy the match everyone.

    Thinking outside of the box.

What happened to the time when we used to have one/two of our players stood waiting for the out ball near the halfway line, inside our half of the pitch, when the opposition were just about to take a corner kick?
Surely it puts the opposition on their guard? They would need at least two of their players to mark our two players just in case our goalie catches the ball from their corner kick and lofts it to the halfway line to our players.
It's exciting to watch and more exciting if we could score from such a move.

Hamshaw said at Fans Forum he's sticking with all back for defending corners. I'd like to see one or two of ours sprinting up the pitch just before corners were taken. Would opposition follow or just take advantage of the extra space ?

        It?s fear football

He knows our defence is crap so he tries to give maximum cover. Scared of what the opposition might do

That would be great but what's the odds on our keeper catching the ball

Can't watch it. With Kelly & Gore still in midfield not missing much. Hughill lone forward. Rafferty on bench back 3 of Lenny Raggett Jools not much pace there.

Cant agree more. As a target man he doesn?t even try to get the ball and as for his passing?..
