On Saturday York would have been Champions if Rochdale failed to match their result and this looked like being the case until Dale snatched an injury time winner, scored after the York game had finished and everyone was just waiting for the result to come in.

This sets up a perfect finish to the season that I?ll be watching as Rochdale (105 points) host York (107) at Spotland with a 12 o clock kick off. I really hope York don?t blow it, but can see it happening after thinking they were up last Saturday only to have it snatched away so dramatically.

Ideally I?d want York as champions and Scunny to win the play offs but that would be really harsh on Rochdale.

It was harsh on York last season, finished second, way ahead of the rest, and yet lost to eventual winners Oldham who just made the playoffs late on in the season. Anyone?s guess who will prevail in the game at Spotland (if it?s still called that)
