May as well play him in 2 meaningless games. Adeboyega was a panic Hamshaw signing that looks just that.

I also think young Harry has the potential to go on and have a good career. I take the point he was operating in a poor side and it is expecting a lot for a seventeen old to carry the fight. However I think after his first couple of games he had less and less impact and became prone to going down to easily (maybe that's how they are coached these days). I've nothing agaianst the lad or Leeds who were good enough to send him to us. I wish him all the best for the future.

Sheffield United said to be interested in Harry Gray
on loan for next season, which I posted before.
Chris Wilder interested in getting him to
        Bramall Lane.

Gray will shine in a decent team. His movement and touch for a 17 year old are outstanding.

They are just appreciated more in a team doing well and scoring goals.

Don't think young Harry is ready for the Leeds first team yet, will get a Championship loan next season.
Even though we have been dire,he will go back a much better player, which was the whole point of his loan as far as Leeds were concerned.

Agreed. A loan spell at Sheffield United playing with Bamford would be brilliant for his progress.

Just thinking out loud, but could it be that some of the younger players might only need a fitness regime that gives them the conditioning to play consistently and develop their game? They may not actually be **** if we look after them properly as Clark has been saying?

Only bothered about Gray here along with the rest of the January signings they have actually made it worse if that could be possible. Though he's a forward not a wide left player.

Alan Crawford wide left player scored 31 goals in a season.Grays not big enough & hard enough to play in the front forward line yet.

                      Best Player - Dan Gore.

Most Disappointing Player - Cam Dawson

                      Best Signing - Denzel Hall

                      Best Defender - Jamal Baptiste.

Player who most flattered most to deceive - Sam Nombe/Reece James/Joe Rafferty/Joe Powell (basically all of the senior pros)

The Player we most needed to keep fit - Josh Benson

Best future prospect (exluding loans) - Hamish Douglas/Ar'Jany Martha (Martha has quite a bit of talent, but no brain at the moment, if someone could coach that into him he could be as good as chemo)

Also on the Gray thing. At 17 years old playing most of the games since joining on loan is mental, and he has a wealth of talent, he's been played out of position since he joined and has still been one of the stand out players in the second half of the season, not least for his effort and commitment even though he's not our player. Anyone singling him out for being an issue doesn't watch football

Dan Gore and Baptiste both excellent players, sadly not ours
Gray is a superb player and we are lucky to have him. Like George Hirst an underrated young loan who we didn't get the best of.
Disappointing player Dawson, Hugill and Martha
                        Best signing: Hall
Nombe and Powell most hard working, sadly both likely to leave
Prospects Lee, Duncan, Douglas and Clark look bright and capable, I hope we have a manager brave enough to play them

I think James has been pretty solid most of the season, but Nombe in particular has returned a very impressive number of goals considering that he was injured and has been part of a relegation side. He's missed 15 games entirely, 6 more were one half or under (coming back from injury), and still managed 11 goals. That's better than a goal per three games, which puts him in Mark Robins, Alan Lee, Shaun Goater territory, and he's covered a lot more yards than some of the strikers who return that sort of goals per game ratio.

3 of those are penalties, so 8 open play goals this season, from an expected goals of 10 based on who scored.com, so in reality he's underperforming a little based on the opportunities he's had.

He started the season well, and when he came back from injury he scored goals in 3 games in a row, but has scored 5 since the start of Feb (2 of which came against Bolton at home)

I didn't intend to say he's been poor, but if you take his first half of this season, (6 goals in 560 minutes by the end of the Stockport away game), and carried on that form for the rest of the season he'd have 20 plus goals by now. I know it's not reasonable to expect, but I think him getting 15/16 goals this season should be expected for our million pound marquee player, and those extra goals might just be enough to keep us up.

For me he's been checked out ready for a move away since mid March, and doesn't appear to have been giving 100% in every game.

For me that's why he's been underwhelming this year

Don't agree at all, he works twice as hard as most players, he gives his best and tries in a team that don't deserve a player of his class. Remember that over the last two seasons we have had one of the top L1 opportunity creates in Powell and he has been out for a while and Nombe and Gray suffer most for that. Take Silva or Cherki out of city and watch Haalands chances created drop, you can't look at a player in isolation except Martha as he has been crap since his team qualified for the world cup.
