Are you boycotting or are you going to go along and enjoy one last chance to see the young loanees, Gore, Gray and Baptiste in a Millers' shirt at NYS? It's the latter for me.

I'll be going but I'd rather not see the loanees. They won't be here next season so where we can, we should give our own players a chance and as much game time as possible. Let's give them some league experience, instead of players that aren't ours.Originally posted by CAMiller View PostAre you boycotting or are you going to go along and enjoy one last chance to see the young loanees, Gore, Gray and Baptiste in a Millers' shirt at NYS? I'd start with Yearwood and Cohen Lee in midfield and maybe introduce Gore after an hour or so, depending on how things are going. I'd also quite like to see Jack Holmes start in the role he played v Luton. And please no more Zak Jules, we've got Harrison Duncan who probably deserves a start and two other lads who will be here next season in Agbaire and Adegboyega.

Not really related to todays opponents but as it's the last home game of the season...
Home record
If Rotherham are to be successful next season one improvement that needs to be made is their home record at the New York Stadium.
At Millmoor, in the 1,945 matches played, Rotherham achieved a 50% win rate. Across most of the 20th century, in football, home advantage was a lot stronger than it is today, in the modern game that sits around 45%~.
At Don Valley, in the 108 matches played, the club recorded a 45% win rate. Despite matches played in an athletics stadium with a running track that was often considered to kill the atmosphere- the club maintained a respectable 45% win rate during their four year stay.
At the New York Stadium, in the 355 matches played to date. Rotherham's win rate declined to just 41%. This is a big drop from Millmoor and even below the 45% set at Don Valley. Rotherham's spells in and out of tier 2 has largely contributed to that drop as the club has struggled to compete financially with the much stronger teams in the Championship. They have struggled for stability against much wealthier opponents.
It would take Rotherham to win their next 63 home matches to get to Millmoor's record of a 50% win rate.

This a momentous day.
To be able to say farewell to the awful, the shambolic, the useless, the lazy Jules. Dawson. Hugebill. And some others who could not stay fit for 5 minutes.
A word to stewart. Do not try give some contracts again,
I will not see any of them again. Good riddance.Last edited by Old_time_miller; 25-04-2026, 06:44 AM.

I would offer the slackers, they know who they are, contracts on a lot less money. Then check out the expressions on their faces.Originally posted by Old_time_miller View PostThis a momentous day.

Will they be insulted, angry, let down and feel that they deserve more?
That's the time they might reflect, or not, on how the supporters feel.
Oh, please don't anyone tell me there has been no slacking.

Let's hope it's gonna be a good day for all the supporters. I'm otherwise engaged. Best man at a mate's wedding. Just hoping my piles behave themselves.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostI'll be there and I'm hoping the people I've sat alongside for years will be there too.
I'll also be interested to find out how many of them intend to renew their season tickets.
As for the game itself, can't say I'm bothered and it will just be something that happens in the background.
UTM!!
