C’mon, checking for april 1st was on with that, really you have to admit. And it only hit the tiser today. Pre disclosure it sounded spoof.

If they wanted to spend money, he won’t be cheap, they should have spent it with warne or last summer.

And he will cost a fortune in brollies….or limited edition ones to help out with the club logo on, could go a bomb in winter….

As it says….talks due to be held….that’s all.

But it was mentioned way before it hit the Tizer as word was already spreading on the story but you chose to pour scorn on it.

      Now that?s chuckle time.

It sounded like a joke, yet many on here take offence too easily. I had not heard anything about it. I didn’t choose to pour scorn as you say. Turn it on it’s head….what the heck, forget it.

        No I won’t.

I wasn’t the only one not to know and had a laugh, mellow for example, at the implausibility of it. But you choose not to have a go at them, eh? Just me.

        Rude words.

McClaren can't see what he can bring to the club. He's had his day should be retired from football altogether. He never seemed to have any go in him years ago not what we need now.

What have I said about it?
I just asked who you meant by SC and was amused by ragingpup's sarky reply?
Personally I think Steve McClaren (SM) would be a good appointment if the club is actually intending to employ a Director of Football.

Ignore them. You can't be up to date all the time.

Have you heard Hamshaw has gone by the way?

Obviously it's a big IF but you understand that he'd be coming in as Director Of Football most likely? And you don't think he'd bring anything to that particular role?

What makes me laugh is Neil Warnock told T/S ten years ago what wanted doing & he took no notice. So let?s chuck good money at somebody that?s going to tell him the same.

Having Steve McClaren as D.O.F. would be fantastic. He has a wealth of football experience, something that this club has sadly lacked for a long time,However, unless we have a serious injection of investment,we will not be able to correct the problems we have had.Fingers crossed the Swiss team will enable us to brake this downward trend and get us back on that upward spiral.

How much will SMc cost? We don't have enough money to hire a full time physio for fecks sake..focus on the core essentials, clear out the dead would in the exec and recruitment layers ensure we have everything we need to keep players fit, a experienced L2 manager and a solid core of a team

This may turn out to be a smart move, if - and it's a big 'un - the presence of McClaren inspires new investment.

Right, this godawful season is over.
Is it too much to hope that there'll be some announcements about where we go from here on Monday of next week?

Been reading Lee Clark is a bit bemused to
                            his position at the club.
He had arranged meetings with the clubs players, but had to cancel because technicly he is not the manager.
His contract to the end of the season, club not notified him of his position, so he's in limbo.
Again the club slow in deciding any issues.
Another club may offer Lee Clark a job.

Not really sure what to make of these cancelled meetings. Either the club have got a different manager lined up or they're being ridiculously slow in telling LC that he has the job. Maybe the possible Swiss investors or McClaren have their own man. Who knows.

Whatever it is, we need an outcome.

After a flurry of early activity, the new board member seems to have been strangely conspicuous by his absence.
