  • MillersMad Match Thread....Wycombe Wanderers v Millers

I suppose we better have one as the last rites are performed on this awful season. I guess a win would be nice but I don't expect much activity on this thread as no doubt most will be answering the call of Meadowhall this afternoon

A lot of questions about this final match of the season.
Will the players be up for this one?
After hearing rumours about players' wages, and they're just rumours, they may throw the towel in early and give up the ghost.
Just checked with Paddy Power. Current odds are....
    Rotherham 6/1 to win.
Wycombe odds on at 4/9 to win.
    A draw 17/5

Having a bet? Decent odds 6/1. I'm gonna be on.

Got more chance with that than getting the winner of the 2,000 Guineas! Don't follow flat racing no characters in it unlike jump racing.

Archie Gemmill and John McGovern were joint managers when Rotherham first met Wycombe, Martin O'Neill managing Wycombe. The Endsleigh Second Division match at Millmoor took place in January 1995 and goals from Andy Hayward and a Steve Brown own goal gave Rotherham a 2-0 win.

            Away Record
Rotherham have played 11 league matches at Adams Park, those matches coming in tiers 2, 3 and 4 in which their record is won 18% (2), drawing 36% (4), and losing 46% (5). Rotherham have averaged 0.64 goals per game compared to Wycombe's 1.18.

            Attendances
The highest attendance at Wycombe came in the season after clubs were permitted to allow fans back into the stadiums in the 2021/22 season. 5,742 supporters watched a goalless draw, which was the same result at the New York Stadium with Rotherham's highest attendance against the Buckinghamshire club. The lowest attendance at Adams Park came on 12 March 2013, 9 years to the date earlier than the highest attendance. 2,692 watched a 2-2 draw with two goals for Rotherham coming from Danny Nardiello on 51 and 64. Joel Grant on 7 minutes and Gary Doherty on 81 for Wycombe. The average attendance stands at 4,181

Sadly, we needed to win 16-0 to be promoted to the top division on goal average.

Yeah, poor from Rafferty to allow that shot to get past him. Too slow to move his feet

Get rid of him,his positioning is non existent & painfully slow.Lovely goal from Jack Holmes.
