So why post a question that you know the answer to?

After a few G&T's at the captain's table- I am sure he cares very much.

MM, it's not about something I know the answer to, that's just my perception of the man and the current situation we find ourselves currently in. Yes he is our custodian so must shoulder the majority of the blame but, not all the blame for how badly things have turned out this season. Many people, Managers/Players have been involved for the past 2/3 years that has created this downward spiral.

I think TS has come in for a lot of flack of late, some might say and rightly so, me included at times but, he is still here hasn't sold up yet so I say give him a break and get off his back for taking a well earned holiday that was probably booked months ago like I book mine.

The time will come when he moves aside and new owners come in then we can analyse and debate what was good/bad about his tenure but for now we have to show patience. We've been here before and we will rise again, in that I firmly believe in.

He can book a holiday any time he wants so why not sort the take over out, sort the new manager out & sort out the DOF out, then feck off on holiday instead of leave things all up in the air.No ambitious could with 14weeks only to the new season start would leave all this to sort out.

LolM, with respect, I'm sure even you know that a takeover takes months not days or weeks to finalise and things may be well advanced in the background we know nothing of.

As for installing a new DOF or Manager this can be done over a mobile call, he doesn't have to be in the country to do that. Again, who's not to say something hasn't been done already and waiting to be announced? I would say it would be a DOF first then a Manager as the DOF will have their input as to who they may think is a good candidate.

All ifs and buts I know but like I said earlier, patience is called for at this time and yes I'm sure he wants both a DOF/Manager in asap to get things brought up to speed. I can't see any takeover being imminent just yet but, I may well be wrong on that front.

Some of the abuse Tony Stewart gets on here is mental,is he perfect....of course not,but we could, and have done a lot worse,it`s obvious he has realised it`s time for a change, and when it does happen I will say thank you sir for saving our club and looking after it for many years, lets hope the next lot does as well.

The situation is ludicrous and indefensible. Tick tock.

The Whopper of a mistake was not backing Warne to keep Smudge around the Christmas time of the promotion season. That is where it all went wrong. Taylor was an horrendous appointment - Richardson should have been given more of a chance, Evans was backed without question - but just got his signings wrong and Hamshaw lacked experience and recruited badly. But it all goes back to losing Warne

Why has it all gone quiet about the take-over?If nothing happens there will be massive disappointment amongst the fans. They will not be conned again by this deluded board,Phil Smith needs to come out and tell us.I trust him ,I don't trust the Board one bit.

Don’t think it will happen. Egocentricity.

It is an ill wind, and it has blown it all away.

Another day goes by.The reluctance to communicate with the fans is slowly killing the club.If this takeover does not go through we will be on a very dark route to failure. The club, for a number of years has been totally mismanaged, with no clear plan for the future.Phil Smith is our only chance to find the replacement to this incompetent Board.Every season ticket holder I have spoken to,will not give 'another penny to this club, under the present ownership.Don't forget we were charged one of the very highest renewals for our season tickets last season,it was cheaper to watch Premiership football at Sunderland, than it was to watch us.This deal must go through or the club will die.

It's funny but my decision to renew or not won't be based upon who owns the club, who manages the club, who's playing for the club or even which league we will be in. It will be based on what are the alternatives to spending every other Saturday with my grandson(s) at NYS with the occasional foray to other grounds. Many of those alternatives, especially the ones involving retail therapy don't bear thinking about
