Seriously? So when McClaren sings in with all his knowledge and contacts in the footballing world, that doesn't show ambition from a Chairman who is looking to change how things have always been run, and may I say, run average to very bad at times?Originally posted by Lolmorgan View PostAlthough Rotherham will spend next season in League Two following their second relegation in three seasons, McClaren is attracted by the opportunity to work for the ambitious club.Ambitious Club my @rse.
It will be a new direction/concept that has never been used at our club and I for one are looking forward to it happening.
The challenge will be to find a Manager who is willing to work with a DOF, someone who will look to build a working relationship with someone who won't just let them have their own way in recruiting, as we all know how bad that went when SE was last in charge.
Bring it on I say 'ambitious and brilliant'.

I mentioned it before on another thread but when McClaren was manager at Newcastle a certain Lee Clark was going to be his assistant. It didn't end up happening but shows the link between the two and suggests a working relationship between Clark and McClaren would work.
It's not looking likely right now though.
I cannot see how having the former England manager as DOF can ever be a bad thing but blimey we need to get the manager appointment absolutely spot on
