      Please no.
The football we watched this season was bad enough.

My choice. Results that matter. Lower leagues at our level direct football required.

I tend to agree but you need to have footballers to be able to play football. There is a obviously a lot that needs to happen between now and the start of the season but at the moment we are a million miles away from having players of the quality that took us from L2 to L1 under SE.

I wonder if he's fancying a 3rd spell at NYS? Thankfully he's just signed a long contract at BR.

            49 goals in 48 games.
Only the relegated teams scored fewer.

We need to stop this love in with ex players. The last one failed miserably. We need a total reset with fresh ideas. Steve McLaren is a great start.

I actually like it when the manager has a connection with the club, not sure why that would be a negative.
Revs has had a good start to his managerial career, and I suspect pretty football will be short supply in league 2,number one priority is staying in the football league at all costs.
I've got a sneaky suspicion that our next manager will be from abroad, just hope it's bleeding soon.

Paul Warne (last ex player to manage us) failed miserably?

What, just like Ronnie Moore did too?

Possibly our 2 most successful managers were ex-players.

The fact his team finished 6th despite scoring so few goals is a sign the guy is decent? Made them hard to beat and they didnt concede many - opposite of what we have been for the past 3 years.

Am i missing something, Mclaren hasn't signed yet has he? So the only decision that has been made is LC isn't coming back.
As for ex-players as manager, no we need a clean break

If I was Alex Revell and looking to move on, I'd be looking up rather than down. And barring a very lucrative financial package, why would he want this gig?

That aside, Stevenage play gash football. I wouldn't be looking to compensate them for a manger who's attacking ethos consists entirely of bombing the penalty area at every opportunity and scoring from set pieces. They've scored fewer goals from open play than we have this season!

                            It's a no from me.

I clearly didn?t mean ex players but people who have been associated with club. I apologise for the typo.

                              Calm yourself down love.
