  • Fans moaning about season tickets funding a striker

You are deluding yourselves if you thought the situation was going to be or ever has been any different at the vast majority of clubs.

Of course season ticket sales impact on transfer budget. So what?

Get your hands in your pockets you tight chuffs and get a season ticket.

Will be with toytown fans like you! Club doesn't run on fresh air. Had this season ticket since Ronnie's 1st time as manager. Had one before when Crawford Forrest ect... got in the side till middle 80's. Still kept going paying on the gate
through the highs & the lows.

Unfortunately, the dross is it was put, is costing more. It is a statement of intent. If you are 60 now and been paying around 500, your birthday is not giving comfort and by the time you are….what price during?

I think they have looked at figures and not the fans emotions. May I remind the ones who are calling out, the working ones can afford it, but the in betweenies are well out of pocket….and more players gone, no manager, no idea what a squad will look like.

Under the circs, this really is a leap of faith.

Next season will be my 68th season.Yes, we used to call us they build you up they let you down. They let you down they build you up club.I’m just great full that I have seen great players play for us that the young supporters now will never see the likes of in a Rotherham shirt. To be honest Yak if T/S had done whatNeil Warnock suggested all those years ago I think we would be in a better place.Money wise T/S has been a god send but football wise a bit of a disaster.

It's a simple fact that most 3rd and 4th division teams like us are funded by ticket sales and sponsorship, unless the owners dip into their own cash.
So the more people who buy tickets ,especially season tickets the better players you can sign....in theory.
So unless we do get more outside investment then the number of fans we have will determine how much we can spend of strikers and every other position.
                      This is nothing new.
