I'd sooner go for someone with fresh ideas like Stuart Downing rather the likes of Ferguson or Robinson who just don't look a fit for us.

Gru nothing against Downing but not enough experience at this level, he has coached U-14s, under 16s & under 21s & you want him to come in & manage a club thats in a mess.It would finish up has the SM show.Lets get the mess sorted & the club back up & running before we start experimenting.Originally posted by RU66 View PostI'd sooner go for someone with fresh ideas like Stuart Downing rather the likes of Ferguson or Robinson who just don't look a fit for us.

Fresh ideas?
1. How do you know downing has them? In the same way as I do not know he has not.
2. Old ideas, new ideas, it will make not the slightly bit of difference.
SM is going to create an experiment of this club.
We have a chairman yet again changing the strategy of approach when the last one was not given enough time to work, strangled by lack of budget funds due to to the previous manager, so it was going to fail from the start due to sick notes in the main.
We now have a situation where SM with his ego is scratching around for a second in command, two already have said no thanks to the experiment, probably knowing full well what will happen given the time frame dwindling away and lack of players with a season fast approaching ever closer.
Downing?
Have you or anyone looked at his CV? He really would really be the apprentice learning.
Wake up folks, not that there is much we or stewart can do about it before much longer. Cotton on to the fact that SM is it, regardless of any pretend head coach.
L2 will dictate what most team will be and play like, an the experiment will fail. Not going so great so far, is it.

If you put every different view on here together, of things so far, you just about show what is and has actually happened.
And where we are.
Which is far from being in a healthy position. That without a shadow is the real problem, the end result, and is it clear that very quickly SM is going to have to appoint or take on a dual role, basically be a manager.
He openly stated he wanted to mentor someone. Hence who we have interviewed. This is going to drag on and on.

Anyhow, what would it have mattered, we agree. Unlike you though I explain why that type is what we will end up with.Originally posted by Lolmorgan View PostTry reading my post 25mins before yours.
Aside, do you think everyone has time to go thro all the previous insertions to find anything which could be remotely similar, first thing in a morning?

A Mrs Merton interview with SM.
So,MrMcclaren, What was it, that attracted you to this job,in this ****hole of a town, and persuade you to leave the golden sands and sunny skies of Jamaica behind.
SM. Well ive got a fire in my belly, and i believe that with the promised backing, we can be back in the Championship in a couple of years
Audience erupts in wild laughter
Mrs,Merton. Oh Stevie,you are a one,whats the real reason,
SM.Well, my ankles knackered, its local to me,me and Tony both like an extended lunch, and i was told it would be an easy upstairs job,and Tony likes to show me off, like a prize winning poodle.
MrsMerton.OOh,that Tony,he"s a bit of a wide one,he sold you a bag of ****e didnt he.Why did you fall for it,he"s done it a few times before hasnt he.
SM. Well, they do call me the wally with the brolly.I believed every word.
Mes Merton. HaHa ,you certainly are Stevie, but all the best, youre going to need it.
