No strategy announced on how we will tackle the main issue used by the managers, directors and owners for our shocking season, it is over 1 month since the end of the season are we going to let that group loose on the players we have when they come back in a few weeks time?
Paul Davis is on holiday at the moment but when he comes back, I'm expecting an update on July's injury news 🤣

I really don't know what your point is.
Andy Warrington was instrumental in the signing of those 3 goalkeepers and had nothing to do with Dawson coming to the club.
It's a bit rich when people seek to blame him for some of Dawson's calamities.

If lack of funding was his issue with the government I don't think he'd get on very well at Rotherham at all

              • Serious question, would you take Hamshaw back as head coach working on Steve Mc?

                      • Well here we are. Warrington leaving has been the headline news story on the Advertiser now for three days and the next most recent story from the club is the “reveal” that we want Sadler for coach, which will be one week old tomorrow with no apparent progress to actuslly being resolved. Im starting to fear we will go into July with no change, which begs the question how on earth are we supposed to put a full squad (or even team) together in time for the season starting? It’s now starting to feel like that scary moment just before the roller coaster reaches the top of the climb, but we are still trying to pull the safety barrier barrier down and it wont budge. As gino used to say, tick tock.

                        • This really needs sorting ASAP, I've never had to sign a new football manager/coach but surely once you've negotiated a contract, what else is there to do?
Plus, if it is Sadler, then he is out of work so this should be straight forward shouldn't it ?

                          • Problem is getting someone to work under McClaren when he won't have much say on recruitment & only be assistant really to him coaching players he had little to do with bringing in.

                            • I'm just hanging onto the fact McClaren is essentially playing the part of manager right now and as he said in his interview, the club are speaking to agents and players. So hopefully we'll see some movement on the transfer front next week. The transfer window opens on Monday (15th).

Regarding the new coach, I just want us to get the right person in. So whether it's today, next week or the week after, I don't see the delay as being a season defining moment. It isn't ideal obviously but let's wait and see who comes in.

I don't see that as a problem at all, although people will frame it as such because of the delay in getting someone in.

Ultimately it just means we'll be fishing in a different pond. We just someone who can coach players in the manner McClaren wants.
