I was hoping the delay was due to some left field candidate about to be announced, bit it looks like we were pursuing the FG Rovers fella.
Feel we need something exciting now being announced, surely having an ex England manager at the club helps.

Aren't 99% of football managerial appointments embarrassing in some way and not just at RUFC?

Clubs fall over themselves all the time to appoint managers who are 'the one' only to find out they were wrong. Cloughie to Leeds is an example of yesteryear but Rosenior to Chelsea is a more recent debacle.

Even if 'the one' turns out to be the one it's embarrassing when they eventually walk away to greener pastures. E.g. Robbins, Warney, Porterfield at RUFC but football is littered with examples.

In my book it's far more embarrassing to continue to pursue someone who doesn't really want to be here so if we've given up on this bloke and moved on, fair enough. Plenty more failures waiting in the wings

I tend to not worry about anything that I don?t have control over. Makes for much less stressful life.

It is far far worse than embarrassing. Brolly man now quoted as saying LAST week that he has two or three in mind for head coach.

Only in mind? Wow, the thought will not be alone, he has so many ideas, it will have to join the queue.

We did not need a head of football to let an appointment drag on for weeks, stewart is well capable of doing it on his own, and he has had practice. Any appointment for that matter, inc players, tea lady for all we know.

I knew this SM made in heaven thing was a mistake from the start, just a matter of on what scale.

I?ve renewed ( wasn?t going to) because it?s basically the only time I see my cousin and because of my grandson. I?ve gone the direct debit route so if it turns into another season like the last then I will cancel
