The salary was agreed but the bonus for getting us promoted was unrealistic. The club have every right to say no. Just what I heard.

Totally agree with this if true whilst promotion is probably unlikely the club cannot be held to ransom, at the same time we really need to get on with appointing someone sooner rather than later, I do not profess to know what effect recruiting new players will have on us not having a coach in situ but obviously it would be preferable to have one, we can only hope the statement on the club website has a degree of truth in it and players will hopefully be signing because of the McLaren name as it quotes player recruitment is ongoing -

With regards to a manager coming in of old, in a summer, having a bunch of mainly under contract players is not too dissimilar to getting some players in now first, and finally a man joins who will agree terms and work under SM.
However, the statement says a head coach is primary aim??make what you will of the statement. What they say rarely matches what appears to go off.Comment

Ok, right. Ive never heard of this man( doesn't mean owt), but if he's worked under SM before then surely SM would have know what to expect?
He's been sucsessful with Nott's County, but flopped at Forest Green? So is it realistic for him to lay the terms out to us?
Ok, SM has brought him in for an interview, which according to everyone he wants a bonus for promotion. is he right to ask for this with his record? Is he that good?
