  • World Cup Final 1966 in colour on now Channel 4

Looking forward to watching this as I've never seen the full match.

Celebrating 60 years since we last won it, surely we're due another go at hosting it?

I liked how the Ref allowed the challenge on their keeper.....that would have been a red card these days

60 years is a long time but it?s only 15 attempts when you consider it?s every 4 years that it?s held. Same as me saying it?s about time we hosted it again when there?s all the countries in the world that enter it who haven?t hosted it yet.

Enjoyed watching it again. Saw it on telly in black and white, I was 11 at the time. What a day.

Wonderful watch , commentary not drowned out with stats and useless information, and amazingly the same 11 players still standing at the end of extra time !! Met Geoff Hurst at a charity do at Aston Hall some years ago and what a nice bloke he is , and , I've got written proof by the man himself that " It WAS over the Line"

I was 18, 3 brothers mum and dad and 2 uncles squeezed in to our small lounge with a massive collective moan when the Germans equalised with the last kick of normal time .

What was so wrong about the laws in those days, that we've had them butchered by 'experts' to supposedly make the game more interesting.
