On Facebook today replying about his solo career. Said he won't be remembered same as Elton & Bowie cause his albums had it's fair share of covers on them. My reply didn't get posted. Him & Ronnie Wood will always be Faces too me songwriting talent in that band with Ronnie Lane they should have up there with the best bands ever.

I agree watched him in concert and he kept cutting in from the left too much on stage.

Always had a soft spot for Rod,along with Elton all his best albums were in the 70`s,but there were plenty of them.
Neither were anywhere near as good as Bowie,true genius.

Used to be a same day courier, went to that London every week, was stuck in traffic (as usual) near Swiss Cottage, glanced over to my right and saw Rod driving a yellow Lamborghini with compulsory leggy blonde beside him.
True story.

This was before Maggie May on my apprenticeship at BSC fellow same said to me just seen best band I've seen the Faces. Got me into them got their & Rods solo back catalogue albums. Always be my favourite band all time.
