We won't win anything defending with our centre backs get strongest 3 in midfield same up front.

You would try and get Mcguckin into the side, even if it ment hiding him inside somebody's shorts , to get him on the pitch, unfortunately at this moment in time he's not quite good enough,Originally posted by RU66 View Post4-3-3 way to go. Ronnie Moore yesterday said 2 big forwards need better crossing in. I'd have McGuckin on the right of Sherif & Etete got more scope than Holmes. Kaleta McWilliams Powell midfield 3. Rafferty James 2 full backs. Centre backs need one in at least let's see what Clarke or Duncan can do there.

Second half we were very good and that tells a real story. Kelly has the brains but not the legs and should be released this week so he can get a nice L2 club. Hugill has to be the world's greatest conman never been a footballer and the change was a good decision. He has to be forced out of the club, TS and PD need to step up this week.
Powell is a class act when he made a mistake he ran 60 yards to tackle back and won the ball, it is criminal that our exec are currently preparing for him to walk away on a free ...again.
Well done to the players and MH, shame on those upstairs.

Your obsession with McGuckin is getting beyond a joke now. He found his level last season with Yeovil, infact they obviously didn't fancy him longterm or they would have come back in for him when his contract expired! He is no where near the standard he needs to be for his age! You saw him in one pre season friendly a few seasons ago and think he's the answer. Give your head a massive wobble and stay off the sherry!Originally posted by RU66 View Post4-3-3 way to go. Ronnie Moore yesterday said 2 big forwards need better crossing in. No can only judge him when he gets a run in the side to get him up to speed. Against Salford could see on the right can put a decent ball in.

Gru,this getting ridiculous, it's worse than your Lamy obsession.
I'd love all the young players to get in the team, but he isn't good enough at the minute.
Don't you think Hamshaw would play him if he was,as Vic used to say...."Let it lie".
Just watched the extended highlights, and was pretty much as I remembered, really good game, some good football from us,7 or 8 good performances from a team in transition, we need to stick with them,as there will be some more poor games, but we will get better.

Was there Saturday I'd say Rafferty James Mcwilliams Powell Sherif Etete Gore Kaleta both in patches ok. Rest not.

MH wanting to bring 2 in on loan the central defender supposedly coming from a championship team to organise the defence, probably won’t come cheap so we need to be moving one of the big earners out favourites on here seem to be Hugill and Kelly might be easier said than done though we deffo need to move the likes of Holmes and McCuckin out if only to part fund newbies coming in they probably won’t be on much though compared to the likes of Hugill Kelly etc hopefully McWilliams will have played his way in to MH thoughts now after his performance Saturday he bring legs in to the team and with injuries to Spence and Benson can’t afford to let him go

Now you're just making things up. I watched him closely. He crossed the ball ONCE which was in the first half. He over-hit it and it went out of play on the far side.Originally posted by RU66 View PostNo can only judge him when he gets a run in the side to get him up to speed. Stop trying to make out he had any impact on that game. He didn't.

One more cross than Hall or Martha got in Saturday! What impact did they have in that game?

Wrong again. Hall put 3 crosses in. Kaleta put 3 crosses in. Martha played for 25 minutes and put 2 crosses in. Don't take my word for it, any decent football app will give you player statistics.Originally posted by RU66 View PostOne more cross than Hall or Martha got in Saturday! If you can't see that Hall is a quality player then I don't know what to say to you. Same goes for Martha and Kaleta. Kaleta was an absolute nuisance on that left hand side first half. He's reasonably quick, powerful and definitely takes some knocking off the ball.
Meanwhile Jack Holmes gets on the pitch ahead of McGuckin in the last 5 minutes. What does that tell you?

Imo Holmes needs a 6 month loan to League 2. He needs a run of game to be his best. Still think he can be a asset.
Mcguckin won't even make the bench when nombe and JJ are fit so move him on.
Hugill we should be looking for him to go out on loan and swallow the bitter pill of paying most of his wage. We play with 10 men when he starts. He makes players like gore look worst by not working as a team player.
Yes he puts in the effort but it's no way near good enough for what we need.
Kelly due to age is a 45 minute player. I'm not even sure he would make my match day squad ATM even though he's been a solid 6/10 so far.
Imo we need McWilliams in the team. I said last season (often laughed at) he bindes the team together. His work rate is there for all to see.
He's SIM to yearwood but better at it.

Agree with all that Cayton I just can?t see McCuckin getting in the team he?s only on the bench because we?ve got about 7 first teamers out, as regards Holmes I just don?t see where he fits in to the system we play 3 at the back although having said that Martha looks more like a winger to me than a wing back but what do I know, I think Holmes would be handy to have around as a plan B if we decide to go 442, unfortunately I just don?t see what McCuckin brings to the party is he a winger, a striker, he?s got no physique and isn?t particularly quick so what?s his best position, I just don?t know but was gobsmacked when he got a years contract, same with JJ although in JJs case can see why as IF he stays fit he at the very least will occupy a centre half and create space for others around him Gore etc but sorry cannot see what McCuckin brings will gladly apologise if proved wrong hope I amOriginally posted by caytonmiller View PostImo Holmes needs a 6 month loan to League 2.
