Yes it was a real bugger. I had 1,3,5 after 2 guesses and in retrospect there are at least 25 possible common words with those 3. In actuallity you could have got 1,2,3,5 on your first go and still not get it if you employed the single letter change as there are 7 possibilities. In that case a better tactic would be to burn a couple of guesses that used all the possible 4th letters.Originally posted by avondalemiller View Post

As you said, CAM, it was one of those common words that was going to be difficult because there are so many other other words that are close. Had you got everything but the fourth letter there were potentially eight different words that could be formed. Obviously that number reduces depending on which letters had already been discarded but it’s still wide open.
I found myself in that position after move 3 and in my case there were only three possible words left so knew I would get it.
So, in the end, a 5.Comment

Failed for the first time today, I'd got 4 of the 5 letters in the right place with 2 lines left and worked out the last remaining letter could be any one of 3 and I put in the 2 letters it wasn't 😫 UTMComment
