Birdy 4 for me. A battling zigzag up the fairway choosing the wrong clubs. Yellows all the way. Luckily holed well once on the green.

Well at the moment the Madsters are making a mockery of Pinehurst No2 as Howdy bags his 3rd 2 of the competition, his 2nd albatross in 4 holes and must by now be a big Fleetwood Mac fan. After starting the competition with a bogey, he's 10 under for the past 7 holes and now tops the leaderboard on -9 with just 1 hole before we make the turn for home.

To be honest and for transparency. Two weeks ago would have gone with the other word 100 times out of 100. Now I know that a wordle is never repeated, you have to think twice before guessing.

Was also using a start word that’s been the wordle. Now I’m not. Still, a very lucky streak.

We always need a bit of luck howdy, especially in competition, but there's a nice feeling to it when it comes up all green early.
