Nez, in that situation it may be better to sacrifice your third go by creating a word made up of as many of the possible options that could be your missing letter. That will invariably eliminate all but the correct letter you’re looking for and you’ll have the answer on the fourth go.

Ha-ha yes, I never thought of that CT, I'll do that if I ever get the first four correct again (which I doubt), but you never know. Thanks.

Well I've done today's and got it in 4 and I'm happy with that ......

1 = 3y
2 = 2y 1g
3 = 1y 2g
4 = 5g

4 for me also, I got all 5 letters all in the wrong place after 2 goes and was certain I'd thought of it for my 3rd go but got first and last letter only, in the correct place so ended up with a 4.

I don't have a "starter" word, I just think of summat and stick it in and hope for the best, ha-ha.

I'll have to get myself some sort of formula and stick to it.

Great, I've just got it in three, hooray .....

1 = 0
2 = 1y 1g
3 = 5g That's my most pleasing result to date. A well thought out 3rd guess after only having one letter in the right place previously.
