Same here after an even worse start.

            • It’s funny how a similar pattern often emerges for several of us in the way a puzzle gets solved. Today it’s poor starts then a big leap to the right answer:

                • Statistics for August 24-30

Once again the NY Times statistics may be called into account as the Madster results defy the Wordle world results. According to NYT the hardest word was WORDY on the 24th with a 4.13 average (3.83 on MM) and the easiest was CHOIR on the 26th with a 3.37 average (4.17 on MM with one fail). Then again maybe like RUFC itself, the Madsters just turned the form book upside down this week?

                          • Exactly the same as Ronners with the same sequence of yellows and greens. A ‘going nowhere’ start with a sudden out of the blue good guess for a birdy.

                            • Birdie for me. Took so long on the birdie putt that the fans were booing. Had the word within a minute but was pretty sure they had used it before so spent another 20 minutes running the possibilities, coming up with none and thinking might as well give it a try
