A very messy 6 to conclude my 40th round on the WORDLE golf course at 91 under par. Some confused thinking today so I'll gladly shove BM out of the cupboard to get my thoughts together to start the next 40 rounds.

So, if I have my maths right, over 720 attempts at Wordl, on average you have solved it at the rate of 3.8736 guesses per puzzle.

(Have you included the over-par score when you failed - presumably at 7 guesses?)

While a golfing analogy would be an interesting way to measure comparable success among us on here, I wonder if average guesses per puzzle attempted might be a more direct comparison.

LOL, Howdy! You’re right. I’d struggle to match that. The cafe at IKEA in Emeryville perhaps - and it does have a great view across San Francisco Bay…it’s also mainly self-service so little chance of one of pup’s fights with the staff.

As we are in Maui at the moment I can't match Howdy's pricing but can beat CT's views. I considered popping over to the Four Seasons at Wailea for their $55 breakfast buffet which you can get as part of a B&B deal. Rooms range from $1,100 to $5,500 per night

And then I had it! What else could it be? The first letters turned green and I put the phone down happy with the bird. An hour later, pick it up again and the last letter was still yellow! ****ing ****ing ****ery **** *******s. ****ing sick of this game. I'm flouncing off and will never return, in exactly the way ibs flounced out and didn't return.
