Nice one Kerr. How much would you charge for me to buy your new start word??

If someone uses the same start word and then posts their results daily guess by guess, I would imagine you could work it out before too long. If you really wanted to.

I have thought much the same. I did think about trying to do it with a couple of posters (for my own amusement as opposed to trying to cheat), but realised that would be a really sad thing to do.
I used the same opening word for a very long time and got a ‘hole in one’ with it some months before I started posting on here. Cam mentioning that the publisher of the game had said that they would not repeat a word prompted me to change and to experiment with a mixed level of success.

Similar here. My previous start word was never going to be a wordle. When CAM mentioned a word has never been repeated I started focusing on getting certain letters out but not by using the same familiar words each time. With varying levels of success.
A 3 I was very happy with since there were at least two very valid contenders on that guess.
Kerr, you’re definitely in the groove at the moment. A good starter word is obviously a plus but it’s probably that precise and logical legal brain that gives you the advantage…

Licky licky.
F@ckinell. How many accounts have you got on here Kerr?
I use a different starter word each day and dependent upon the outcome of my first guess, try to cover the vowels and most common consonants in my first two guesses. Totally illogical (in fact gruesque) I base my starter word on the previous day's Wordle. I think as a result I have hot spells and cold spells but the net result is just 4 fails in 925 tries and an average of around 3.8.
