Ha-ha that's exactly what I did, and I was saying to myself, "that's never a word", and then it clicked as I pronounced it differently. In fact I thought it should be "hyphenated" if anything. It almost spoilt the game for me though but I managed a nine eventually.

I had the last 4 letters and ran through what was possible with all the letters I had left and none were words so I thought maybe it begins with one of the other letters already in the word. When I typed it in and Quordle accepted it as valid I thought "That's never a word!". When you finish you can click on all the words in the puzzle for that day to see a definition. When I did that and saw the definition I felt a bit silly
