I don't want to go into my health too much but I had the first vaccine not because I wanted it but because I required it to see my family who lived abroad

I had an immediate reaction to the vaccine and have had blood pressure problems ever since and an ongoing investigation into my heart, the treatment of which has been delayed, ironically because of the backlog in hospitals following covid.

I was dismissed as a crank by many but thankfully a Doctor with courage told me my issues could have been due to the vaccine. He also said there was zero chance of any one else in the department looking into it.
I don't think that I'd have survived in the UK. The treatment I got was life saving. My heart had grown to 3 times its normal size. I was lucky to have had the stroke whilst in intensive care.

I hope everything goes well for you IBS.

My recollection of events seems to differ from some thoughts on this thread.
I don’t ever recall being led to believe the vaccine gave the recipient immunity from the virus. I was very clear on this before I had my first vaccine
There may have been an intimation of high immunity in the very early days but that was quickly clarified by the medical industry. The time lag was probably due to further testing and understanding of what they had developed

My understanding was that it reduced the effects of the virus and kept people out of intensive care. We saw the effects of what that might lead to in Italy where they were in crisis before a vaccine had been developed

So it was a choice of whether you gave yourself a fighting chance if you got it plus very importantly to help the rest of the population and the more vulnerable.
In other words, if most people had chosen not to have the vaccine then the outcome may have been very different and many of us might not have been here to whinge about the antics of a certain Spanish CB.

If we were misled about the above then fair enough but I haven’t seen many credible medical professionals say so

We will never ever know of the consequences of no vaccine situation,so it”s an easy pick off..

I wonder how much uptake there was for the free ticket for a jab offer at the nys..?..

Thanks Frog I fell foul of the curse of posting on my phone then edited it meaning that it gets deleted, then couldn’t be bothered to re type it.

I caught Covid-19 in September 2021 after being vaccinated and ended up on a ventilator.

Either the vaccine didn’t work for me or it is thanks to it that I was able to beat it and am still here today to post this.

Two years on I am still recovering suffering with fatigue and strange pains in my arms that the doctors at RDGH have no explanation for.

                  Sorry to hear that 123
Hope you don’t mind me asking but can the medics still detect the virus in your system or is it the case that it’s left you but the after effects have not?
I’ve had something similar but I’m not aware I’ve ever had it and certainly didn’t go through what you did

The virus doesn’t show up in my system it’s just the aftermath that the doctors are blaming on Covid as the symptoms only started after I had it and the fact I never been 100% since.

I know people who've had bad reactions to the vaccines and others seem fine.

The biggest problem for me was the government and media saying that everyone had to get it, "to protect others", which was nonsense and clearly motivated by profit.

And even trying to give it to children who (unless they had an underlying illness) weren't even affected by Covid.

Canada are still telling parents to vaccinate their children at 6 months. Kids don't get ill with covid
