Nominated Department of Health and Human Services lead Robert F. Kennedy Jr.?s questioning of vaccines and current health models makes him ?more science-oriented than a lot of his critics,? former CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield said on ?CUOMO.?
"I mean, I'm probably one of the biggest advocates for vaccine. You mentioned that when I was CDC director, I would say that I think vaccines are the greatest gift of science to modern medicine. And I still believe that. Kennedy's not anti-vaccine. What Kennedy is about, is transparency about vaccine, honest discussion about vaccines, asking for the data to show that these vaccines are safe and they're efficacious."
"And the mere question of asking, what's the data for safety, many of his detractors say, okay, well, you're anti-vax. No, just show me the safety data, show me the efficacy data. I have high confidence that Kennedy is going to be a strong suborder of transparency on vaccines. And where the vaccine data shows that they're efficacious and a benefit to the American public, he will promote them."
"I think, Brian, we need transformational change. Right now we've created over the last 20, 30 years, we've developed a disease system. We need to make a health system. And when Kennedy says he wants to help make America healthy again, when I was CDC director, one of the challenges was we lost about 1.2 million people died of COVID. Other countries like Taiwan lost less than 10,000 people."
"Why did we lose so many people? We lost so many people because we're sick nation and Kennedy, he really committed to making us healthy again. And I do agree with you. We should all get behind them. Making a healthy America is not a partisan issue. We ought to get behind them and help them make us healthy again."

If you think he?s given sufficient evidence and that that?s what markets respond to, wouldn?t they have nosedived before now? Or are you saying he will be showing evidence soon to prove his claims? In which case why are you convinced by him if he?s not provided it yet?Originally posted by Eternal Optimist View PostWhen the paucity of evidence of vaccine efficacy becomes apparent (courtesy of RFK Jr.) then you'll see them nosedive.

Not quite. He's going to ask them to show the evidence that their products work, and that's gonna be a problem for them as very few of these products undergo rigorous testing. And they know it.

Some cold and flu relief products have already gone saying something like that at the time they were given license they worked but the licensing process has change so they no longer work.Originally posted by Eternal Optimist View PostNot quite. Not millions but billions 😮
The ingredient is considered safe to use; that was not up for debate. But many doctors have questioned phenylephrine?s effectiveness for years. These products generated nearly $1.8 billion in sales last year alone, according to data from the FDA that was presented to the Nonprescription Drugs Advisory Committee on Monday during the committee?s two-day meeting.

The Scandinavian ones that are banned in the country they?re made in?Originally posted by CAMiller View PostThe hottest products on the market today are the weight loss drugs. Not FDA approved nor from a US manufacturer but it doesn't stop folks shelling out $1,000 a month for them. That's the power of marketing and blanket TV commercials.
It may be the ones that were muted that Starmer is wanting to give the obese unemployed people in the uk to help get them back to work.

That's the ones Frog. Mrs CA looked into them and was told she'd need to pass a series of screening questions before she'd be allowed to buy.Originally posted by frogmiller View PostThe Scandinavian ones that are banned in the country they?re made in?

They asked "What do you weigh" and "what would you like to weigh" and based on the answers she gave they said she qualified
