  • Raggett

I see he is out for the rest of the season. He is probably the only player that has been injured I feel sorry for. Hardly missed a game through injury for the previous 5 seasons. Let?s hope the recovery goes well and he is a star player next season.

Why do we keep on signing duds?

Who is in charge on checking a players fitness test before we see the results and before offering any player a contract? Do we do the treadmill test with an oxygen mask for a 30 minute workout or has the gerbil died that powers our treadmill?

    Who next, MacDonald?

The club is a joke from top to bottom.

That’s my point though he wasn’t/isn’t a dud.

MacDonald also been announced out for the season but he wasn’t on a one year contract. No sympathy for him. Struggled to manage 90 minutes ever.

Agree pippy. Raggett pre season was an excellent signing and when he's played we looked more stable at the back.
Some say he was slow and was like an oil tanker turning but like most good defenders their brain got them that first yard. Like our very own fossle woody

Indeed it was. I suppose at the time of reading the post all I could think of was here we have another dud on our books and to be truthful I?m sick of seeing them.

On today?s reflection Raggett is a good player and makes us more solid at the back ? when playing?. It?s the fact he was a key player to us when he signed but we?ve hardly seen anything of him hence my frustration pal.

Let?s hope he makes a swift and full recovery in readiness for next season

At the moment we don't know if he is a dud or not, to have the same issue on one leg then the other doesn't sound good, in fact with his age and 5 years of non-injury could have been part of the issue, we have been unlucky there and I hope he gets fit and plays 40 games next season for us. However, at this time we don't know whether his and our luck will continue.

So much hype over a mediocre player with an injury problem

I was told 3 weeks ago that Raggett would not play again this season, but held back in posting anything.

Rumour going round Raggett MAY have to retire severe bone bruising that will never heal? Maybe someone with a bit of medical knowledge/ bone can enlighten? Obviously be horrible for him but what will that mean for us? 3 new centre halves we only have Jules unless we can promote one or both of Duncan and Hull

                          uttis, it sounds extremely painful.

It is a bone bruise which is a traumatic injury to a bone, similar to a skin bruise, but involving the bone itself. It's characterized by damage to small blood vessels and bleeding within the bone marrow, rather than a fracture where the bone breaks, causing pain, swelling, and potentially stiffness.

Never heard of anything like it before.

That is very sad if true, you have to feel for the guy. As for us he will be insured so financially we should be covered and it is better to know now rather than after the transfer window closes at the end of August.
