Is it really a good idea to make Hammy temporary?

Just for a bit of context, Hamshaw wasn't sacked by Derby, He resigned. Danny Rohl on the other hand had just been sacked for being the sidekick to a failure weeks before joining Wednesday.Originally posted by Tigerish View PostI genuinely wish Matt Hamshaw success but whether he's got the ability to achieve it is another matter. He's never been in the hot seat and let's face it he's just been sacked for being a sidekick to a failure. One thing we should learn, from across the divide, is how Danny Rohl was recruited. We do not need to rush in now. Having recruited several duds on the bounce Mr Stewart needs finally to get the right man. His heart will be telling him Woody but he knows he needs to use his head as well

Richard Wood does not have the qualifications to be manager.Originally posted by Tigerish View PostI genuinely wish Matt Hamshaw success but whether he's got the ability to achieve it is another matter. He has the B coaching licence, but put on hold going for the A coaching licence when he signed for Doncaster Rovers, putting his playing career first.
Wood has had bad luck this season with a ankle injury, having ump**** operations on the problem, he said a week since that he thought he Would have to retire, but the last operation was successful, now he's hoping that he can earn another playing contract with Donny with playing the rest of the season .

Didn't warne work under Evans so you theory on learning from the master could be a theoryOriginally posted by GlennMiller View PostHamshaw knows the Rotherham DNA, he's a local lad and worked as First Team Coach under the most successful League One manager we've ever had. As an interim manager he's ideal; whether he's good for the long term will be determined by how he acquits himself over the remainder of the season.
The most interesting thing for me will be the reaction of the players. I always considered the individual team members were better than the team that Evans put together and that because of his appalling leadership and his antiquated tactics, players were not able to play to their full potential.
I'm expecting a massive improvement in effort and quality. Any player who fails to come up to snuff can do one!

Warne was Fitness Coach when Evans was here first time.Originally posted by caytonmiller View PostDidn't warne work under Evans so you theory on learning from the master could be a theory
Warne despised Evans and particularly the way he bullied people so probably, if he did learn anything from him, it was that you shouldn't behave like that.

Suggesting that Hamshaw doesn't have the balls? All things considered I think it is a very good appointment. We would struggle to get anybody better to come here at this stage of the season and still not safe.Hammy could well be the one to re*****ise us.The club has made some bad decisions in the past but we need to give Hammy the support from the fans and players.Originally posted by Grist_To_The_Mill View PostOr to play football you need balls

New manager brought his own men in so Hamshaw Warrington effectively didn't have roles there so would think was more a mutual agreement by which they left.

Wrong, here's the statement from Derby County:Originally posted by RU66 View PostNew manager brought his own men in so Hamshaw Warrington effectively didn't have roles there so would think was more a mutual agreement by which they left.
First Team Coach Matt Hamshaw and First Team Goalkeeper Coach Andy Warrington have made the decision to step down from their roles at Derby County, following the recent departures of former Head Coach Paul Warne and Assistant Head Coach Richie Barker.
Hamshaw and Warrington were given the opportunity to remain part of the coaching set-up moving forward under new Head Coach John Eustace, but the club fully respects their decisions.

For better or worse we are a very quirky club. We've had many "outsiders" over the last 10 years and they have all failed. The current set up at RUFC demands a manager that is familiar with the club, warts and all. Hamshaw fits the bill perfectly.
We may have to tread this path until TS et al finally move on and there's a significant change at the top... and this isn't a dig at TS btw.

Just looked Derby coaching staff with new manager they have an Assistant Head coach 1st team/goalkeeper coaches so I can't see where Hamshaw Warrington would have roles there no ones they had.
