I'm normally against the "going back" theme as it rarely seems to work out but I would love to see Dan Barlaser return to NYS.Originally posted by Timbertop View PostAm reliably informed Dan Barlaser would be open to a move back to Rotherham if acceptable wages could be negotiated. Unfortunately that's unlikely to happen under the current ownership.
He would provide some of the midfield vision, class and set piece delivery that has been sadly lacking from the team since he left.
Unfortunately it's probably not going to happen as I'm sure there would be quite a few clubs interested in signing him if Middlesbrough make him available.

Rushian Hepburn Murphy signed by MK DonsOriginally posted by Ericsladkilnhurst View PostPlayers that could benefit Rotherham United next season 2025/26
A few players that I have seen from opposing teams this season, that could benefit the Millers
One problem - A commanding centre-half in the team / squad.
Answer - Mansfield Town centre-half Alfie Kilgour aged 27 [in May], a commanding centre-half
who can play out from the back, & is a solid centre-half who controls the defence, while being
able to set up his team in going forward.
* A plus is that Alfie Kilgour's contract ends 30th June 2025 with the Stags, worth a punt.
Position - Midfielder & Striker
Crawley Town came to the NYS on Saturday 29th March 2025 & beat the Millers 4-0
2 players took the Millers apart 26 year-old striker Rushian Hepburn Murphy [No14] & 25 year-old
mid-fielder Armando Junior Quitirna [No18].
The Millers defence could not cope with them, both players under contract until June 2026.
Rushian Hepburn Murphy - signed for Crawley Town on a free transfer from Swindon Town.
Armando Junior Quitirna - signed undisclosed fee, from Fleetwood Town
Crawley Town ready to drop through the trapdoor into league 2, could be open to offers.
Paul Warne must see something in the player, like what I saw of the player.

Still better than our forwards.Originally posted by Lolmorgan View PostELK are you turning into gru, the lads scored 31goals in 161 games hardly prolific.
Plus all I was saying if Paul Warne thinks he us worth signing, I thought my first write up was a valid reason.
Before Warne signed him.

From a Barnsley fan,Im not sure how I feel about Humphrys leaving. He has that bit of spark and has some real wow moments but also has periods where he doesnt seem bothered. Hes clearly a bit of a mercenary in terms of his contracts and transfers but who can blame him? Its his job and his pay packet at the end of the day. I don?t like the bit about he doesn?t seem bothered, we had too many of them last season.Originally posted by Ericsladkilnhurst View PostStephen Humphrys.
I see Bradford City have signed the 27 year old forward from Barnsley.
Always rated this player, from when he played for Wigan Athletic.

Was 28 April this year so still got something to offer. Ideally you'd want someone younger to push Rafferty at right back but who is there? & out of contract. We aren't going to pay fees for many signings.
