Give that man a gold starOriginally posted by Adventus2012 View PostAssistant Manager...........Dale Tonge!
Dale Tonge signed in on Monday as Hammy's No 2. Been waiting for the club to announce it but you've let the cat out of the bag early. Why does it take the club so long to announce these things.....these are Season Ticket drivers aren't they?
It shows more stability who's backing Matt in his quest to get the team off to a good start.........PR Dep't zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Mr HAMSHAW PLACING CONFIDENCE IN YOUTH!
This stance from Matty brought to mind a similar one from one Mr.Docherty way back in the 60s....... hope the outcome is better this time, as we were relegated..Originally posted by Brin View PostIf any of the youngsters deserve a go for me it's Josh Ayres.
Each to their own I suppose but for me this lad has something that's yet to be released.

'Still' not been announced by the club but yes, the stable lad did very well indeed. I only hope that his take on one of our wardrobes moving on all comes good but the player in question is wanting a financial pay off to leave, which considering he still has a year left on his contract, gives him the right to ask for such a deal. He's being far too greedy but, stupid Evans did offer him a ridiculous contract so he's sticking to his right for a correct buy out of his contract.Originally posted by caytonmiller View PostYour stable lad did well there brin
Our club could offer to sell him but the other club may refuse to pay anything for the Mr Wardrobe in question. One thing for sure is I will be glad to see him never wear a Millers shirt again.

Grist, what I meant was it shows determination and commitment by the club to show us fans, that an addition to help aid Hamshaw, by bringing in Tonge. shows good intention.
Add all these together, New Manager, Assistant manager, New fitness coach, Defensive coach and who knows who else? I think these 'are' things to be excited about. Yes they all have to click and work as one but surely even you'll agree that it's already a far better set up than last season.
One prospect that excites me is that Hamshaw is looking to use and bring in a far younger squad and develop our Junior players and not just throw money at has beens like Evans did. Forward future thinking, let's hope it all turns out okay for him.Last edited by Brin; 05-06-2025, 01:39 PM.

However there?s not much there yet to attract the floaters when it comes to season tickets

I remember a comment last year about us being HMS invincible or something daft.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostEvans tackled recruitment like a bull at a gate and the outcome was pretty disastrous.
Let's hope MH's more measured approach delivers better results, the window has only been open for 4 days after all.
Also other clubs supporters telling Evans that there was another 12 week until the transfer windows closed. I found it funny!
What was also incredible about last summer was that we didn?t sign enough players! That also carried on till the January window.
It is all new to Hamshaw so him taking his time is a good sign.

At brin, I guess the tonge situation is dependant on the compensation Mr fry is requesting, that's why the club are not announcing it yet
