  • I really hate agents who having sought a deal out for their player, have all the details splashed all over before the signing is completed thus attracting other clubs at what who we are attempting to sign.

Just like the Wiredu episode, a deal almost completed until it was splashed all over the networks and Plymouth came in at the 11th hour and stole him from under our noses, we have a similar situation now brewing

Posted today that we have have submitted a bid to buy the dutch player Denzel Hall, a right back from Heerenveen. The 24 year old has 31 appearances to his name for them including 18 last season. What's the betting we get gazumped again? Why do agents inform journalists like Sander de Vires to stir up the s.hit? W.ankers.

Brin, it happens all the time, it's not only the agents, it was in the Wiredu case, agent leaked it to Nixon, but can also be the selling club trying to get an auction underway. It's the way of the world unfortunately.

I can?t understand the need for another keeper as if anything happened to either Dawson or Cann isn?t there a rule for a keeper loan in emergency? I presume all this is in hand re defenders as the Raggett situation lingers on, one I heard is a lad called Rosiak coming on loan from Arsenal, he?s a right back and can play midfield handy on set pieces presumably this one will not be immediate as Prem teams formulate their squads, might be something in it as we seem to have good links with Arsenal or we did have before SE took charge
Uttis, I've had another call and apparently all is true but I'm still sceptical until it's all signed and the club announces it.
Should be a great news week for our very patient fans.

As for the third keeper, I feel Hall will be one for the future with him being only 20. May turn out to be a great addition.
Dawson won't be around forever and if he succumbs to injury then we have a spare keeper to fill the bench instead of panic looking for an emergency one.

IF as many as five even six I've been told now end up signing, then I have never known us fill the gaps so late before a season and, we will all be able to breathe out.

Agents want the best deal for their clients and, by dint of that themselves. That's only natural.

Any bid for a Dutch player will be dependent on the Home Office granting a work permit (slow, expensive and far from guaranteed), so there will be a delay that will allow plenty of opportunity for gazumping.

Back on track and my stable lad has belled me. We had a shortish conversation considering the fact he's told me THREE, yes THREE incomings next week and wait for it, depending how the pieces fit into the jigsaw it could be as many as FIVE!

He couldn't talk long so no names given. From this IF all falls into place and he's more right than wrong, I have to deduce that 2 of the initial 3 may well be Josh Benson and possibly Dru Yearwood as both have been on trial and obviously fit into our budget otherwise they wouldn't be trialling with us. The third may well be the goalkeeper, Liam Hall who is one of three players bidding to earn contracts during the League One Millers' week-long pre-season stay in Portugal.

The 20-year-old is a free agent after being released by Wrexham following their promotion to the Championship last season.
He spent two years with the Welsh club but never made a senior appearance for them.

For me it's still a target man we require. Nombe and Hugill to lead the line but if either become injured/suspended then I have little faith in Kayode or McGuckin, as our two back ups albeit, they may prove me wrong and good on them if they do.

That's all I have for now. Maybe HensonsPR Man can shed some light on all of this?
Have I been blowing my horn going past you Brin? 😂

With things starting to hot up everywhere I have brought the sensible transfer blog to to an end, but that's not to say that this blog will not contain suggestions as to good additions for the club.

2 signings we've made weren't mentioning on these blogs. Could be something in some that were but wait while they're through the door officially. Revan my opinion left sided but short of pace played there wouldn't have him back.

Revan was one of the better loanees that we have had in recent years. I’d welcome him back.

Once again another priceless comment from you, the original sensible transfer blog was players who in my opinion, were a sensible target for us, good players in our price range. A lot have moved to other clubs already.
The second blog is a round up of rumours and gossip with some of my own thoughts on those rumours. There might be legs in some and not in others.

The two blogs are there to be enjoyed and prompt debate and comment, not senseless criticism.

I'm impatient for signings not just rumours. I can only have opinions about who I've seen such as Revan who I doubt we could sign anyway we couldn't before that's if wanted to be under contract here. Denzil Hall checked him out he hasn't played that much in the last 2 seasons meaning number of games he'd have played if he'd been in the EFL also not sure about at what standard he's been playing at & the intensity of it compared to here.

The reply shows how much you don't know about football. It is well known that Wrexham have pushed the boat out to get players in these last few seasons and now have an oversized squad with players on good money on long contracts that they need to either pay to move or loan out to enable them to bring other players in.

Revan is a player that's surplus to requirements but unless they pay him up he will need to go out on loan, which is why we are enquiring.

As far as the comments on Hall are concerned that's where the experts come in, how can you dismiss a player off a Google page? Priceless once again.

Wikipedia Hall usually reliable think it's says played 29 games since 2023 for his current club. Puts doubts in my mind if he'd adapt here. Revan on loan still not sure played on the left here but I'm not a massive fan of James either whose not the strongest.

I've come to the conclusion if Hammy picked a full team of 10 outfield players called McGuckin you'd complain .......unless of course he threw in a couple of Lammys
