I think he needs to stay clear of Hugill if at all possible. With him up front, Dawson will be inclined to hoof the ball long and neither Hug nor Etete are great in the air, so it will come straight back. He'd be better playing Kaleta in a Millik Wilks role - he's the only player we've got who can run at defenders.

A draw at best methinks - team selection might as well be drawn out of a hat !!

Just not good enough - the best we have are out for some time and no idea where or who we might get 3 points from !!!

The pace and unpredictability of Mallik Wilks would have made a huge difference to this team. Very selfish but he did score goals.

Very true. Despite what many think, Wilks was a different level to any of the players we have this year.

You can't go loan players they aren't ours. Signings we've made this season I can't see any having much sell on value. Players like Douglas McGuckin Duncan Hatton could be anything but need management to believe in them they are the future of this club. Getting more difficult to get the calibre of players in we've had in the recent past as each season goes by.

Stay with the 3-1-4-2 formation it says in the Advertiser we've been looking to play.

              Dawson

              Rafferty T Holmes Jules

              Baptist

              Hall Mcwilliams Powell James

              McGuckin Etete

That's at least the fourth different team you've picked for Saturday, how many more goes will you have before tomorrow? You never know, you might eventually get one right.

MH might surprise me be brave enough to start with McGuckin but he hasn't been so far.

Gru,you need to stop with this obsession of young players who aren't in the team, especially McGuckin.
Do you not think that Hamshaw would play them if he could ?
He has spent most of his career so far coaching younger players, he is our best chance since Ronnie's first stint that our kids will come through, you keep repeating someone's name won't make it happen.
As George Benson said,I also "Believe the children are our future ",but only if they are good enough.

He also said 'Never Give Up On A Good Thing', or as they sing in GRU's world, 'Never Give Up On McGukin'!

Agree with the comments about Mallik Wilks. When he got the ball there was a threat and he had an eye for goal.
Where are the goals coming from with this rag tag bunch?
We have hit rock bottom. The worst I can remember. Never thought I'd visit nys half expecting us to lose and being grateful for a draw

I'm no multi. Back to McGuckin after Tuesday he's in front of J Holmes Kaleta Hugill for starting tomorrow but got my doubts he will.

From the interview by MH it is clear we will stick with 3 CB's, this is high risk, firstly it hasn't worked in the 8 games this season, secondly because we only have 3 fit CBs, one injury and then what do we do? A small FB in a 3???
For me this belief in 3 CBs at the back and stubbornness not to change is hurting us, and i am not sure we really have a natural left-wing back.
