Congratulations to Thomas Holmes for 10/10 performance. Never put a foot wrong. Thanks Luton.
But Dawson is still a big worry.. he doesn't "own" his six yard box
Yep great by holmes but can we keep keeping him on the pitch? 3 of our players hobbled off today none of theirs did. How can that be reight. At the start of the game I said I will give it 20 mins before one of our players hobbled off. I was wrong it was about 10 mins longer. I will say the same next week.
Deserved win. Should have had a few more. Holmes looks like the player we need. I thought McWilliams and Gore looked good and I would also like to mention Hugill. He always tries and he put himself about today. Should have scored in the first half when he did well to get in the position but he did well to get into that position.

It was a very good save that denied Hugill. Hs best game for a long time
Defintely happy with that. Exeter came to NYS in decent form and looked full of confidence, safe to say we were the opposite prior to kick off. We played well, controlled the majority of the game and worked hard. Exeter had a few spells where they looked dangerous, and when they had the goal disallowed followed by 8 minutes of added time I wished I had some ramipril to hand to calm the blood pressure.
Tom Holmes was an absolute rock in defence, Mcwilliams and Powell had good games, Hall's goal was absolute quality. Hugill deserved something out of the game too and it was nice for the crowd to chant his name when he was subbed. He's one of the most divisive players we've had for a long time but today he really worked hard and was a whisker short of scoring on a few occasions. A good header minutes into the game forced a decent save from their keeper. Then he battled hard to go on a run with an Exeter defender right with him, the keeper just managed to get a hand on it and palm it wide. Then a couple of balls into the box he was literally a toe nail away from getting onto. I feel it will surely happen at some point but the effort was definitely there today.
The injuries are another shame, Hamshaw sounded fed up with it on the post match radio interview as I drove home, but hopefully they won't be too severe.
Today looked like a team that are starting to click. A few more games and a bit more luck with the injury situation and I feel we could start to see some decent results.
Tom Holmes Hall his goal apart from that not much happened. Crowd looked down can't see getting them back playing like that. Gone off MH he doesn't pick a match day 18 on merit. We had 3 midfield players on the bench but no McGuckin. We ran out of ideas especially wide right & up front.

Decent result - still troubled by what MH is trying for. Hughill was ****

Undefeated at home since he took over last season, overseeing a complete squad rebuild in his first job as manager. He seems to have already nailed the "make the NYS a fortress" mentality. Away games need work but that's a stigma that's troubled us for the last five years. What are you finding so troubling? There's clearly work to be done but I'm not seeing anything to be troubled about apart from the injury problem. But we've had that for years too

No he wasn?t. You sound like one of those moaning f#ckers sat behind me yelling for him to press the keeper knowing that as soon as he did the keeper would just pass it to the guy at the side of him.
