For one it's not just 'bad luck'.

Name me a season where not just our team but any team in the last 10 even 20 years that have suffered 5 hammy's in 6 games at the start of a season.

I don't blame Roundwood by the way.

I?ve no idea Brin. But you said some aren?t seeing the bigger picture so if you?re seeing it then what is it pal?
A lot of conjecture but what?s facts.

Good player but Luton knew something we didn't but should have. So he's off their payroll and now we're picking up the tab. I do wish Thomas well though and I was impressed by his performance. But why did Luton let him go?

Holmes put in a crunching tackle in the second half and was a bit ginger afterwards. Nothing to do with coaching, grass surface, doctors, over training, injury-prone signings - just an unlucky injury after a physical challenge.

I offer pal an alternative view, if some want to shoot me down crack on but, I think the team are being over trained.

If the stats are true that Ross runs the backroom staff on 5k runs daily (25k a week) before training begins, then what is happening to the team in training?. They are the professionals out there kicking and moving the ball about so have to be deemed fitter but to what cost?

I have never played pro football but have coached and mentored young players. Football isn't always about running, running, running it's more than that. Yes you have to have good cardio training but there is also a limit to what you do to yourself with other parts of your body.

I don't expect any player to out the fact they are being over trained as that may be seen as a sign of weakness but, I'll edge a bet some are being over pushed to their limits. Is it the old Warne mentality to beast the team to pure greyhound fitness that Hammy is trying and it's costing him...who knows?

I for one just cannot accept the amount of injuries we have incurred in such a short space of time at the beginning of a season. Soz but that's how I see things. Feel free to ridicule my points but please also offer the respect of me posting them as I do yours and everyone else's.

T Holmes if he'd have been fit he'd be playing in the championship. We fell for it again.

Alternatively, they may be going soft on them in training so they are breaking down under the rigours of match day?

You would go to the other end of the scale.

ItÂ’s fairly obvious to me. We are signing players who are on the fringes at their parent clubs. TheyÂ’ve not played much and then we throw them in an expected them to do a full shift. Etete, Sheriff, Holmes, Agbaire - I canÂ’t be arsed to remember the others. And with Ragett we threw him back in for game after game when he was just back from a long term injury.

If we had planned recruitment better, got them in earlier and given them a pre season then we wouldnÂ’t be playing the desperate game.

The fault rests with both TS and MH for being tight and poor planning. And on top of that maybe a ridiculous training regime.

I'm not feeling touchy pal but when someone offers an alternative view it's not always viewed warmly but heh, we all have different ideas on what's going off.

Looking forward to Saturdays game but unfortunately can't go as I'm being dragged off to a wedding in York! Really wanted to visit the Cherry Red Records stadium as I've never been. If you're going down pal enjoy your day and have a safe return.

It is a huge blow for us, and for him, let?s hope he comes back.
Four players injured in 1 game, unbelievable we are seriously screwed now. We have to bring in a free agent just to have the numbers at the back, James and Rafferty are not CBs and we look like conceding with every cross when then play there.

True Derby and with a goalie who dunt come off his line to collect crosses this does not help.

I agree the Holmes thing is not a training issue as he hasn't been here long enough for our coaches to knacker him but our other injurees have.

I do think we are signing injury prone players as well though. Who is responsible for that? Do we not look at the track records of players before we sign em? Do things not get picked up at medicals?

Then there is how we play. We cant get skilful ballers cos we cant afford em. This means physical fitness is our only weapon. We are not a team which let's the ball Do the work for us we rely on running. As some say do we overrun. I dont see even then that we are anymore fit than any other team we have played so far and have conceded quite a few late goals thus season and have often wilted at the back wnd of games.

Look at the piggy's. Hardly got a squad, no pre season but not the injuries we have.

We have to adjust the running at least in training and focus on the ball doing the work eg passing the ball correctly for a start.

On paper we have a decent squad but no good if they cant get out on the pitch.
