  • RIP Charlie Kirk

A young articulate man who was shot in the neck whilst debating students and teachers on a university campus.
He recently was at Oxford university doing the same.

He spoke freely and with courage. I hope that his murder can be something to be learned from but seeing people cheering his death is outrageous.

It seems freedom of speech is ok as long as people agree with it. RIP

Shameful that evil barbarians can use gunfire to stop free speech.

        Think y'all missed this one

If you're praying for Charlie Kirk, I'm praying with you! If you're using this to create a narrative of political violence from the LEFT, Im going to remind you that a MAGA man and Trump supporter just assassinated Democratic official Melissa Hortman and her husband less than 3 https://t.co/aaQwAUoVlF

political assassinations are not justified in a so called free democratic west (lol). There are lots of things he said that i don't support, but this is wrong and unfortunately we live in a world where murder, rape and violence are accepted. I think humanity is regressing not progressing.
          RIP charlie

The left in European parlement have shown themselves to be ****s!

Left wing MEP's in the European Parliament REFUSE to observe a minute's silence for Charlie Kirk. You don't have to like a person to observe some decorum But to actively go out of your way to ruin time for others grieving shows hatred in your heart https://t.co/Znc4WMRdbw

The same people who kneeled for a career criminal. Shameful but extremely expected.

Here's a thought: if that issue mattered to you so much, why didn?t you speak up when it actually happened? Where was your outrage then?

                    Silence? Thought so.

So unless your time machine is working, maybe sit this one out?or better yet, next time something happens that actually matters to you, try speaking up then, not after.

                    It's your usual form. Pathetic.

I wouldn't have posted what giddy did, but I feel it only fair to point out that it wasn't him that made this a political thread. Once that particular can of worms was opened by others it was only a matter of time before things turned nasty.

Assuming that the killing of Charlie Kirk was political, this and other political threads are, perhaps, indicative of the polarisation of society that allows such things to happen.

I have my views upon the roots of such polarisation, but will leave them in the box for the moment.

I will not post RIP for Charlie Kirk. It would be meaningless and hypocritical given that I had not heard of the bloke until today. That does not mean that I don't consider his death a tragedy, particularly as he has a young family and particularly if he died for something as pointless as his political beliefs.

It may be that you take more of an interest in American politics than I do (did he appear in your Twitter echo chamber perchance?) but I can assure you that I hadn't heard of him.
