The club is skint. 2 free transfers were being lied to.

The balance sheet has been telling us that for the last 2 seasons. Most of the signings and the wages we've paid out for utter dross in the last 3 seasons, have come home to roost. Terrible run of just picking the wrong people, time and time again.
Unless we hear of a substantial cash injection, the club needs to cut its cloth.
Nowhere else to go unfortunately. Just hope Hamshaw can cobble a young side together and play decent football. If people are expecting more than that, I think they will be disappointed and very angry.

There will be no saving knight riding in on a white steed because Tony Stewart won't let outsiders in. It's buy the club or don't bother but who wants to buy just the club?
Any potential buyer(s), and there have been some, would surely want the Stadium and the club but Stewart won't split the two. We know Roundwood doesn't come in to the equation so unless someone looking to buy as other ideas about the training facilities, it's not really an appealing club to buy and so we trudge on but, betting worse at recruiting so the fruits of promotion edge further away and the fans are fed scraps.

Steve Evans has done what he does at every club he leaves, sets them back 2yrs.T/S has not got a clue about football even we knew that we could not compete in the Championship without money but Tony thought we could. He has thrown some silly money away chasing something we could not achieve.

Coming back to this, let's be thankful we're not Weds fans. I know it doesn't look good so far recruitment wise, Oddofin and Humphreys leaving, JCH still not out through the door but, we have a Chairman who keeps it all in line with or without investment.
WE HAVE A STABLE CLUB.

There is enough cash at the club to employ an LGBTQ+ coordinator so we aren?t broke are we ?Originally posted by Brin View PostComing back to this, let's be thankful we're not Weds fans. Plus, Odoffin, Green, Sibley, Mpanzu, Gore, Hull, McDonald and Philips but his wage may have already been used to bring Cann in.Originally posted by Mr_bukaroo View PostOn a wage between ?19/23k so hardly breaking the budget. But no, we are not broke, just cutting our cloth accordingly. I would guess once Humphrey?s and JCH wages are off the books we will have more money to play with regarding new players.

I suppose it depends how you define "stable" Brin.Originally posted by Brin View PostComing back to this, let's be thankful we're not Weds fans. The reality is we have a club that loses money each season but is kept afloat by an owner who tops up the losses with money from his other business.
That owner is of an advanced age and, if rumours are true that his son is not particularly interested in football then where do we go when TS decides to pack it in?
I don't think "stable" is the correct description because, in reality, we are just limping along and would not be a particularly attractive proposition to any prospective buyer.

Problem is mellow. We have one of the highest season ticket prices in the league and we are told every season we have a top 5 budget for the league yet, We are struggling to attract the players of this standing and have done so for a long time.Originally posted by mellowmiller View PostI suppose it depends how you define "stable" Brin.

Imo the people pulling the purse strings need to have a look at what's happening and instead of pointing fingers have a close look at themselves...
From all the years under TS we have had 2 1/2 successful managers. The rest have been pants.
That's a shocking record for TS and the board and needs addressing either by selling up or getting in someone with knowledge. Neither of those options TS will choose
