Anyone involved with this summers transfer window shouldn't be at this club. We started by giving Kayode another contract who'll never make it here then signed more proven sicknotes or players with hardly any game time at this level. Still got no wide players. Never replaced Odoffin or Wilkes when he played up front our standout players from last season. Won't give McGuckin a chance who could be anything but showed glimpses of his ability last time we seen him.

When has McGuckin shown any glimpses of what he can do?Originally posted by RU66 View PostAnyone involved with this summers transfer window shouldn't be at this club. He did nothing against Salford. He did nothing against Bolton reserves, other than hit a shot which landed in the town centre and a header he ought to have done better with. He played 26 times for Yeovil as a striker and got FOUR GOALS in non league. Hamshaw works with him everyday and doesn't play him. When will the penny drop with you that the lad isn't good enough?
If we're relying on the likes of McGuckin, Jack Holmes and Kayode we're 100% relegated. All three are non league footballers and shouldn't be anywhere near the first team.

Totally agree - the three mentioned are way short of professional standard. What is shocking is that all three were known to our management team and yet they still signed them. I know finances are limited but we may as well have gambled on bringing in 3 totally unknown youths into the club.

Thats some powerful shot. Bolton town centre is 4.9 miles away from the ground.Originally posted by Heliosphan78 View PostWhen has McGuckin shown any glimpses of what he can do?

When will you get it into your thick skull that McGukin is absolute dog meat! You've said anyone involved in the summer recruitment should be sacked, well guess what your little cherub was out of contract and given a new deal so by that he's included as one of the poor signings you say we've made. He couldn't lace Martha or Kaletas boots!Originally posted by RU66 View PostAnyone involved with this summers transfer window shouldn't be at this club. Stay off the sniff and see him for what he is, a very poor footballer that can chew a piece of gum for 90 minutes!

Your last sentence is 100% true and all three of them were signed by MH, he is getting a lot wrong and seems incapable of changing his approach. Someone with experience within the game should have a chat and coach him to not be so stubborn, because the outcome of being stubborn and hiding behind injuries (an therefore bad luck, which is his belief) will not end well for him or for the club. A difficult time for him and us, let us hope we turn the corner very very very soon.Originally posted by Heliosphan78 View PostWhen has McGuckin shown any glimpses of what he can do?

Martha & Kaleta they've had their chance not taken it. Got to claim the shirt 1st they haven't. Give McGuckin the same chance on the right then if doesn't then I'll say same about him.

Perhaps RU66 has a point, McGuckin surely deserves to be given a run of 3 games playing wide right in a three. How many chances has Hugill had and his performance last week was as bad a performance has he has done in the 2.5 seasons he has been here. It is the same with Ayres he only went on a months loan perhaps give him a chance as well, to be honest if they both played with no boots on they couldn't do any worse than Hugill. What this discussion tells us is how desperate we are and how much of a mess we are in.Originally posted by RU66 View PostMartha & Kaleta they've had their chance not taken it. I wouldnt play Hugill tomorrow even if there was no other fwd available. Pack the midfield and try for a draw.Originally posted by Derbymiller View PostPerhaps RU66 has a point, McGuckin surely deserves to be given a run of 3 games playing wide right in a three. Up next?
Need to put the search for a replacement head coach on hold for the moment.
Three reasons...
1 It might never happen. We aren't exactly an attractive proposition.
2 It can be an expensive and time wasting exercise.
3 We are cannon fodder.
Focus should be on next match.
Bradford City are coming to the NYS.
We are odds on with some bookmakers for relegation.
