This just shows that you reap what you sow. being that we have sent Ayres out on loan (should be due to finish) and he clearly doesn't rate McGuckin (even though he extended his contract) MH went into last weekend with 2 strikers available. JJ is injury prone and their own press statements say that they wanted to phase him back in and they planned to take him off, so what a huge mistake starting with two strikers, it also had martha playing on the wrong side as well. This is not hindsight a number of fans raised this including myself, that first team selection was wrong. Being he knew JJ wasn't ready, you start with Hugill as a pivot point with two wide forwards supporting him, would have been a better option. Then JJ could have done the last 25-20 minutes. The persistence of 3 at the back is also wrong. and is a mistake that is being made week after week, at best that is stubbornness at worst it is arrogant stupidity. MH has asked to be judged when is players are all fit, that will be too late for him, unless he learns to adapt and grind out a few points and results. It has been clear for a while that some of the players don't seem comfortable playing out of their natural position, that there are confidence issues across the group. You build confidence by stopping the losing, grinding out a point here and a point there. He should have started that weeks ago by playing 4 at the back, packing midfield and then using what pace we have provide an outlet.
Wages wasted on players that won't play or you don't play is madness, our website says we have 10 forwards on the books so looks like the young players might have to get a chance.
I hope we grind out a point on saturday and i would definitely take a point off Bradford, we need something and MH needs something otherwise NWC will get his wish before the fireworks are let off.

Hamshaw shouldn't have got too close to his dad cause that can be the only reason Kayode he's still here.

That a fact is it ?
As far as I`m aware he`s on a "pay as you play" type of contract,so little to lose for the club,I suspect that Hamshaw thought he was worth one last chance, which is fair enough, and wouldn`t really be aproblem if we had any other fit forwards.
Why not take a punt on a free agent, someone who`s been around a bit,who could manage 60 minutes, can`t be any worse.

I don't buy Hamshaws (and others') argument that the game is so much tougher, so much more physical, so much more demanding nowadays compared to the time Bobby Charlton was running around the pitch. On his debut he could hardly get a boot over his swollen ankle but he just wanted to get out there. No I don't buy the argument. Today's players with their handbags and earphones are more entitled, prima donna-ish and bloody soft. The pitches are better, the bad tackles punished and the days of the magic sponge gone. They need to embrace pain and get on with it. Or become a postman (no disrespect to postmen)

Most of them wouldn't have the stamina to be a postman!

But the likes of Charlton, Law and Best didn't have to play under the spectre of global warming, social media and 5g phone signals..

Agree with Tigerish don?t know about anyone else but getting slightly fed up with these injuries how much of it is ?in the head? I?m not playing because I?ve got a niggle or strain, there?s no desire or commitment, Hamshaw saying wait till I?ve got a full squad to pick from, it?s not going to happen, the players we are waiting on are Etete who is not a known goalscorer and Sherif who is an unknown quantity it?s not like we are waiting on Ronnie Moore and Clive Mendonca! OK Nombe we are really missing-virtually every member of this squad is/has been injured at some stage with the exception of YES Hugill Powell, Rafferty and James are more or less present every week the rest are very fragile, there?s a guy on our management team pushing 40 who hardly missed a game oh for his leadership on the pitch
                  What a mess!

Indeed, this must be having a serious impact on the squad.
