Not being paid and will probably soon be able to seek another club. Think he?d be receptive to a return.

How things are the Owls players & other staff, will not get full salaries which are due on Monday 30th June.
With transfer embargos on the club, it will be a difficult season for the players.
So some may take the option & move to a club where they do get a salary paid.
Wednesday's fans call our club toytown, but our club pays in Pound sterling, where the Owls have I owe you letters, like using Monopoly money, not worth the paper it's printed on.
Wednesday ought to be called the Monopoly Money Club.
Michael Smith I would welcome back to the NYS.
Could be Sheffield Wednesday go into administration, the only way forward for the owner of the club.

All about ???????s
Snatch his hand off - he puts the ball in the net unlike the two overpaid useless two hats still here
Unless somethin really special happens - more likely to be a bottom of the table scrap nxt season
If I had the wings of a sparrow - yeah me too but and only but Smith could make a difference !!!!

Had he played elsewhere before going to Burning Pork FC I would have welcomed him back.
For now? Yes I'd take him back but he'd need to really perform to win the fans back.
And yes, financially I don't really begrudge him from securing the best for his family etc.
However, he knew it would sting and that it would damage his image with us. So.....

FFS No!!!
I never want to see that snake anywhere near our club ever again. It wasn't just where he went to (bad enough) but how he did it. Have people forgotten the duplicity he portrayed? He led Warne an absolute merry dance. Have people forgotten the sheer joy on the faces of the truffle digging supporters as snake chops and sticky icky were poached from under our noses?
Nah, let him weep into his unpaid bank account!
Move on...

Oh the bias and the seething because he signed for the pigs. What if he say, had signed for Chesterfield would the hatred from some be the same?
Smudge ran his contract down like all modern day footballers do now. Albeit Ollie would have taken a new one the pre Xmas had he been offered one but, that's another let down story by TS and his board.
At the time Smudge 'openly' stated to Warne and the board he, at his age then, would be signing for any club that offered him the highest wage possible as it was his right to do so. In hindsight it would probably be his last big money earner for providing for his Wife and two children and what is wrong with that?....absolutely nothing. You work for a company but you can always move on if the wage is better elsewhere, no one owns anyone.
Totally honest all the way that when the bidding started we offered X. We all know at this time the pigs had come truffling and offered more, Again and keeping everyone up to date with the situation, he informed Warne and Co of the new offer, we went back in again but the Pigs topped it once more and it was Warne who called time on the bidding due to his budget restrictions.
Many fans say it was only for a grand more per week, maybe it was but it wasn't just a grand, times that by two seasons and you're looking at a further 104,000. Some folk only hear the singular figure. We could not compete with the Pigs and they won his signature.
I respect what others may say on here and how they felt and still feel animosity towards Michael Smith but me, if I were in his circumstances with a family to provide for, I would have done exactly the same thing. This game is a short lived career.
As for now, would I like to see him back in a Millers shirt, my heart says yes because of the total lack of deliverance from JCH/Hugill but realistically, I feel younger blood would be the way forward for several seasons that may benefit the club better in the long run.
