  • Exeter v Swansea

Next up in our pre-season friendlies schedule we travel over the bridge to Exeter with an early kick-off at 1pm today, Saturday.
Team news later but we have some injuries with centre-backs Lissah, Santos and Cabango out, leaving us with only one recognised centre-back, midfielder Fulton filled in at Cheltenham. Also Eom has been missing since the Kidderminster behind closed doors match.
Talking of behind closed doors matches, we played Barnsley yesterday and lost 0-4. Our team was mostly made up of U21?s but with five out of favour first team players included , Fisher, Cooper, Bianchini, Yates and Ginnelly.

      FT: Exeter 1 (Cox 47?) - Swansea 0
Glaring mistake by Key for their goal.
Three disallowed goals for the Swans but the result means that another lower league side has beaten us.
The warning signs are there, take heed now while the transfer window is open.
The one player we badly needed and starred for us last season has gone to Wrexham.

Only those that travelled to the match can give us a fair assessment of what went wrong, but it sounded like another weak performance. Swans TV failed and didn’t broadcast the match. I listened to it on BBC Radio Devon.

Back to the drawing board guys. Without cursing what the …. is going on at Swansea?
We have gone from could not lose end of last season to cannot even beat a lower league team and cannot even score a goal.
Did O’Brien make that much difference, where is the back up in defence, where is there a player that can get a goal?
            Signings needed urgently.
