    Blackburn v Swansea Tue 30 Sep 19:45

The Blue and Whites away next in a mid-week fixture before Leicester home match next Saturday.
Blackburn not having the best of seasons so far with only two away wins to their credit. The Ipswich home match was abandoned due to heavy rain with 10 mins to go and has to be replayed. They?ve already lost two home matches to Birmingham and Norwich.
Valerian Ismael has been their head-coach since Feb 2025 with 6 wins from 18 matches.
Swans meanwhile, with almost a full squad to pick from, cannot get things right so far with only two wins to their credit and a habit of conceding last minute goals. It?s about time they got back on track and got some points on the board, starting Tuesday.

      FT: 1 (Cantwell 28’) -2 (Franco 44’, Cullen 67’)
A headed goal by Cantwell and a stunning strike by Franco 1-1 half-time.
Under intense pressure second-half but Swansea broke away Idah passes to Cullen 1-2.
A good win at somewhere where we get no luck.

Not one of our best displays but the three points more than welcome.
For once a decision went for us, the ‘foul’ by Burgess on Cantwell in the area but no penalty given. I agree with the ref, not a penalty.

What a goal by Franco and a rare three points at Blackburn.
Burgess tackle in the box, Cantwell dives, Burgess didn’t touch him, simulation, should have been booked, oh hang on he had already been booked, so sending off.
