  • It Needs to be Convincing Against Sheff Wed

In many people minds this game is considered a make or break fixture. Sheff Wed, a bankrupt side with no money and at their lowest point in their history. But make no mistake they will come with plenty of spirit and wont be rolling over. But if the Albion cant win this game and win it convincingly then the fans will be singing "ya dont know what your doing"

Many think that is the case already

To be honest and said this before - honestly don?t mind losing if you play a good game and give 100%. Once again today a pathetic goal to give away - no plan and zero attempts on goal.

Lose against Wednesday for me - Mason and Abella can do one! Awful football!

A supporters text was read out on WM radio earlier (after 5pm when the phone in starts).
It said if I recall correctly that "us albion fans want to watch attacking football not a game of chess"
I have thought this for a fair while that football generally has become a game of chess and is boring to watch.
I only see free to air games and the 2 recent NI international games I saw were refreshing.

Bang on Stargazer! Take that NI game v Germany those NI players attacked like their lives depended on it and covered every blade of grass. Whilst they lost the crowd did not let this bother them as they were given a standing ovation. People want to be entertained win or lose. No attempts on target becoming consistent is pathetic and down to Mason!

The comparison to chess is understandable, I call it Formula Football, so many teams play this way and I wonder whether it is a result of the overwhelming amount of statistics pumped out these days? The coaches we are told, pore ove the stats and formulate the game plan accordingly; all too often it produces boring football. Football is essentially a simple game and the incessant statistics are over complicating it. Remember, there are lies, damned lies and statistics. I believe that statistics are delivering the wrong messages.

              Indeed Ketts buddy.
It appears that Sunderland are breaking with this tradition. I noted that Paul Merson commenting on Sky TV yesterday said that they appeared to play with the manager’s remit to use your playing skills and enjoy the game.

Undoubtedly, there will be an overall strategy, but what a refreshing report.
I suspect Coventry have a similar attitude under Lampard.

I think we have three fixtures now which will probably define our season. Games against Wednesday (H), Charlton (A) and Oxford (H) should be considered winnable. However, any less than 6 points from these games would probably end any aspirations of making the play offs this season.

Totally right! Attack attack attack and lets have at least a couple of goal attempts
