Did I really see a German player last night with her name "Minge" on the back of her shirt ?

Don't know about that but Sweden certainly are the fittest so far, that I've seen.

      Indeed, Janina Minge 😁 captain!

Have quite enjoyed the Women's Euro games I've seen so far. Sweden certainly surprised Germany with that 4-1 win and Switzerland doing well too to be second in their group.

Having enjoyed the Wimbledon Mens Singles final I'm now watching England v Wales. Already 2-0 so can't see the Lionesses missing out on a quarter final place but from what I've seen Spain look favourites to win the competition.

To be fair some of the football has been decent.

One thing that hugely stands out if you have children or footie mad daughters - fantastic tournament in a lovely country - both sets of supporters mixing in a carnival atmosphere fantastic for families - beer allowed in stadiums. This is how football should be!

You wouldn?t take don?s and daughters to mens football overseas unless your mental,

So many things right about girls football and regardless of negative responses - it?s massively going in the right direction.

Agree with you Al. Still some really poor defending from some teams but standards definitely improving and generally the games I've seen have been very entertaining with some excellent movements and goals. The big difference though, as you say, is the family orientated atmosphere of the Women's game and nice to see the high levels of support for it.

Totally get Omeg if there?s footie mad girls in the family - going to Switzerland would be really memorable! Even nice to see beer being enjoyed watching the matches.

Really does make you think the low life who go to men?s matches and the difference!

Nor the free for all wrestling matches that attend every corner kick or free kick towards goal in the men's game Dubs! No diving, shirt pulling, dangerous tackles etc. to talk of -and they call this football ! 😲😁

It?s good to have differing opinions because some see things differently.

Those that criticise girls football are usually those who can?t stand the fact they could be better. Of course the standard is not like the men?s ( same with tennis ) but it?s hugely getting there.

I am sure anyone will agree with England?s fifth goal yesterday - the foot work was pure class and don?t think any of our players would have done that!

                      You are correct there.
Considering women have only been playing football in any real sense for a very short time compared to men. As a spectator sport I probably still wouldn't go along to a game but not because it is women. But mainly because football has become mind numbingly boring to watch these days. I wouldn't pay to watch the men's game either.
Amateur or part time players...yes. Much more entertaining and value for money.
But women's football has improved no doubt. I just hope they don't inherit all the traits from the mens game. That would be horrid. Football is a universal sport that should be played by anyone who can play and wants to play.
The whole macho thing is too over played these days. Like that fcuk wit Putin riding around bareback on his small pony a while back. Prck!!

                        I'll watch the games tonight.
Think I am growing into this competition...not literally of course!!

Currently watching England v Sweden and Sweden have just got their second goal for 2-0.

Sweden look good, they have stifled our attacking movements and players whilst too easily cutting through our own defensive lines. Think Wiegman will need a big rethink at half time as the Lionesses don't seem to have an answer at the moment.

England have been very poor all round. Could be three even four down. They are going to have to make some big game changes to not go out tonight.

Well, whatever Wiegman said has had an impact. Sweden really did smother England first half and the Lionesses struggled to get any foot hold and could not match the intensity that Sweden demonstrated across the pitch. At least England have now come out showing the urgency their first half performance sorely lacked. Not saying they can turn this around as that poor first half has cost them a two goal deficit but this second half should be a far more competitive one.
