  • Performance vs the Owls

I am resigned to expecting a continuance of the passing around the back four and the inevitable slow build up and potential costly c ock up defensively.
However, I am expecting some spirit and commitment. The players are fully aware of the fans frustration and accordingly I am looking forward to seeing more energy from the team and Coaches.

Only today seen the highlights of the Ipswich match and the calamity which presented the goal.
We need to be on the front foot but lets see.

It's going to be interesting prando to see where the spirit lays between the two. SW have been dealt a serious blow to their survival chances and can be questioned as to how motivated they are for the club's name. We on the other hand have gone from a nicely placed position a month ago to trying to stop an early season rot. Our performances need some motivation and a time for some kind of leadership on the pitch. We don't have anyone at this moment..

You make a good point Db buddy. There is indeed an apparent absence of leadership amongst the players. Mulumby certainly displays some attributes, but too often lets himself down with unnecessary petulance. Maybe Nat Philips could rise to the occasion ? Seems somewhat quiet and reluctant to lead.
Mowatt is the obvious candidate given his captaincy appointment, but no evidence of leadership. Price ? mmmmm…maybe

I really don't think we have any natural leaders in the squad. No one willing to shout at team mates or even to cajole them during the game. Agree about Mulumby as well, plus he goes missing terribly during games and that is not a trait you want in a leader on the pitch.
          Slim pickings at the moment...
