  • Another Fault by Griffiths

Got to stop that FFS. Yes some good saves but how many blunders does he cost us?

Deflection made that a difficult save. I dont blame Griffiths. Mason at fault again. 65 minutes in and Charlton start to control. What did he do? Very little.

Why take Bielik off in the 93rd minute? What an odd decision.

I agree about Mason but come on Matt - it went under Griffiths and got to save that!

Deflected though Al. Would have had to change his shape from the original shot. Given the pace of the ball, that would have been a great save.

Deflected yes but not to the side but under his body! Got to do better in my view but don?t just blame him but again strange decisions!

I'm not sure you can mark that down as a blunder. The shot was hard and though a crowd and took two deflections. That meant he had to change his position and then dive later than he otherwise would. As it was he just about got down to it but the deflections made the ball spin like crazy and when it got to him it literally spun under him as he was trying to save it. That was actually a difficult shot for him to save. It would have been classed as a brilliant save had he managed to save it. He also saved a penalty so that fact it was still nil-nil at the end was mostly due to his penalty save. It was bitterly disappointing to lose like that in the last minute so I understand the frustration but I think you are being a bit unfair to him.

Possibly and most likely wouldn?t be questioned but there?s been a few questionable goals. You just realise that Palmer was a different class and he was.

A shame, that, after the penalty save.

Palmer has gone Al. Time to move on.

Griffiths is decent and has good potential. I thought he kept us in it with two good saves. He isnt responsible for us losing tonight.

To be fair he?s improved but there?s been a few questionable goals and he will never be an Alex Palmer. Then again Junior will never be a Fellows and if he?s a Premier player then I?m Ronaldo!

Griffiths is still young so you have to expect the odd mistake. Heck, every player on the field on both sides made way more mistakes than Griffiths tonight in one way or another. I think he played very well this evening. That goal was a tough break for him and the team but football is like that.

As I have stated on another thread, and agree with both you and Baggiematt, that it was not a huge mistake by Griffiths. It was unfortunate and indicative of the way things are going for us at present.

Just cost me 100 points tonight! Although it took a slight deflection, it did go under his body and probably should have been saved.

The highlights show the original shot then no further angles, just ends, hopefully another highlights package is available

Sky highlights did show other angles and a fortunate goal by Charlton but they gave it a go and it worked. Our player should have never let the goalscorer into the position where he had the shot, I assume he thought he could nick it off him and have a breakaway.
